Not the worst video, at least it is effective in demonstrating the principle of how to open this type of keg. I would suggest however that the proper wrenches for pulling apart the retainer ring are mentioned. Also, if you're doing it by hand the back end of a wooden spoon would be a better choice for pressing the ball bearing. Also, if you just want to get the pressure, you can tilt the keg.So the absolute last of the remaining fluids are not picked up by the pickup stem.

Easy Peasy. Use your tap to empty and decompress before valve removal. Craftsman 1/8 screwdriver. Start at the thin edge and work it around, it comes right out. Without residual pressure in the tank there is hardly and tension on the locking ring.

Just did mine....... And did just like he said but found that a good set of needle nose plyers help out ALOT. I pushed that ball in MULTIPLE times. First 2 times a ton of air came out then stopped then I pushed it in all far as it would go and held it...... nothing so I proceeded to take out the stem and hit the ball by mistake. Next thing I know beer is pouring all off my face. Lol!! So I said screw it I'm gonna keep going. After 5 min it was out. Thing is that beer had been sitting in there for well over 2yrs & micro brewed so it smelt so damn rotten. That sucked!!! If you do this....keep clear of the stem at all times, even if you think it's been depressurized 👍

A word of warning: If there is beer in the keg it will build pressure back up if you don't get the lock ring out quick enough. It's usually not enough to blow it through your jaw but if you let it sit long enough after "depressurizing" it will get ya and you'll get a nice beer shower to go with it.

Moser breweries use a three step cleaning method or they should. Put step 1 n 2 require hot water and the 3rd cold. Step one is a caustic bath and this is to kill/ clean any left over organic material. Step 2 is a poni acid and this is mostly to protect the stainless steel. And this is done because step one is very tough on the metal,it leaches compounds from the surface while cleaning so by step 2 you are pulling all the stuff in the metal from deeper within and putting it back closer to the surface. This will extend the life of keg. Step three is a sanitizer bath. Check temps on cleaning agents for optimal use. Then once your ready remove keg fill with water and chemical put cap on then what we call walk the dog. Lay keg on side and roll it across the floor. I would do this for atleast 10 minutes. Then tip and drain. FLUSH KEG WITH WATER BEFORE NEXT STEP! Hope this helps.
