Hey loves! 🧡
As the majority of you requested, here’s me learning how to make Domoda/Peanut Stew. Domoda is The Gambia’s National dish, so it was a pleasure to learn how to properly make it. 🤍🍛
She took me to the local market to buy the ingredients fresh, and then took me to a local compound here to learn the process of making it! I really hope you all enjoy this video & maybe even try making domoda yourself! I’ll be doing more videos just like this one, so definitely stay tuned & subscribe if you haven’t already so you don’t miss another video like this! 🧡🥜✨

KIKI don't worry trust me the way you said that how you cook your DOMODA too is the correct way. I like your way of living and how you've just integrated yourself in the Gambia 🇬🇲 is lovely. Beautiful video

@ 11:20 - In Nigeria, particularly among the Igbo people, "Akata" is a slang term used to refer to African-Americans or black people of the African diaspora who were born and raised outside of Africa. It is often used to distinguish them from Nigerians or Africans who were born and raised in Nigeria.
"Akata" is actually a derogatory slur towards Black Americans, kinda like how Black Americans call Africans here "Tethers"
Beautiful Humble Queen..Once you Lern how to cook all different dishes..You shoul wisely open a simple local Restaurant called (Ricki's) employ few staffs & it will be successful in The Gambia..🇬🇲🇬🇲🇬🇲🌍
My favourite dish from childhood. Cant wait to come back. London is dead out.😩
Thank you 😊 I love it! I remember that song waving flag a long time ago wow lol. I love seeing traditional ways of living!

I love peanut butter soup! So delish❤
That meat looks fresh. If it’s bloody red, I will buy it.
yeah, domoda is the best food you can cook for your in-laws in the Gambia.
Aflac 🦢😂😂 the food looks good is my kid’s favorite and I put the peanut butter into the soup straight from the jar but the Gambian peanut butter is organic that’s why she has to do that.
Not sure if I’m spelling it correctly but chew is the one I want to see made
That's. My favourite I love it 💕
Learn how to cook mbahal. There are two types. Domoda is my second favorite meal i love soupa kanja most. And thanks for showcasing our delicious gambian dishes

Domoda 😋
Young queen looking yummy 😋🇯🇲
Hi Ricki! I especially love this video because of the way you are interacting with the little ones. Although I am vegan the Domida looks amazing and judging from the way ya'll cleaned that bowl I'd say my guess is correct. Are there any plant-based recipes there in The Gambia that are really good or popular? If so, I would really appreciate if you could do a video showing how the dish is made. Also when the little guy asked his elder if you were white, I almost hurt myself laughing! You're doing great work in the Mother Land so keep it up.
You can make the dish without the meat. That'll be the best option.
I really miss those days
😋 Thanks for the video. There r different ways to make domoda though. Do u know u can make it without using oil! Only water n it comes out the same. You can also add the peanut direct into ur pot n it'll come out smooth. Alright u doing great Ricki.
Yes , my family makes it without oil

Do know anyone that can be a tour guide in The Gambia, for someone coming to visit?
No Maggi. Filled with sodium and the cube is not good. Use sea salt and ginger instead.
I male my own cubes. U need chicken feet tho to make thenlm
Wir sind aus Deutschland und wir waren in Gambia bei Freunden zu Gast.
Ich war mit der Hausfrau auf dem Markt für Beef Domoda einkaufen.
Auch sie hat Maggi gekauft.
Ich war total erstaunt.
Fast jede Frau verwendet in Gambia Maggie.

I try not to say never but the fly meat is a no for me
It’s all good after it’s cooked. Don’t worry about little flies that sit on it, worry about what the animal been eating before it was butcher lol
@@byronbrown3700Es wird sehr sehr lange gekocht.
Danach gibt's keine Bakterien mehr. Das Fleisch ist clean.
He doesn’t want to come to America trust me it’s a living nightmare..
Okay it definitely has its problems but let’s no be dramatic lol
I definitely agree with you, I hate America with a passion. I call Afrika home and I know both sides of my family originated from Central Afrika. May the ancestors watch over me and my family as we transition back home to Afrika!
When he is able to, he can visit America, learn and get his own perspective.
Stay in Gambia.
Right you are not toubab 😆😆😆
Now I know why my domoda turns out thrash. Do an ancestry test.
