    Hey loves! 🧡
    As the majority of you requested, here’s me learning how to make Domoda/Peanut Stew. Domoda is The Gambia’s National dish, so it was a pleasure to learn how to properly make it. 🤍🍛
    She took me to the local market to buy the ingredients fresh, and then took me to a local compound here to learn the process of making it! I really hope you all enjoy this video & maybe even try making domoda yourself! I’ll be doing more videos just like this one, so definitely stay tuned & subscribe if you haven’t already so you don’t miss another video like this! 🧡🥜✨
    Domoda Ingredients:
    Rice
    Peanut butter

    @ 11:20 - In Nigeria, particularly among the Igbo people, "Akata" is a slang term used to refer to African-Americans or black people of the African diaspora who were born and raised outside of Africa. It is often used to distinguish them from Nigerians or Africans who were born and raised in Nigeria.

    • @maxwellbrisk5622
      @maxwellbrisk5622 Před 11 měsíci

      "Akata" is actually a derogatory slur towards Black Americans, kinda like how Black Americans call Africans here "Tethers"

    Aflac 🦢😂😂 the food looks good is my kid’s favorite and I put the peanut butter into the soup straight from the jar but the Gambian peanut butter is organic that’s why she has to do that.

    Hi Ricki! I especially love this video because of the way you are interacting with the little ones. Although I am vegan the Domida looks amazing and judging from the way ya'll cleaned that bowl I'd say my guess is correct. Are there any plant-based recipes there in The Gambia that are really good or popular? If so, I would really appreciate if you could do a video showing how the dish is made. Also when the little guy asked his elder if you were white, I almost hurt myself laughing! You're doing great work in the Mother Land so keep it up.

    😋 Thanks for the video. There r different ways to make domoda though. Do u know u can make it without using oil! Only water n it comes out the same. You can also add the peanut direct into ur pot n it'll come out smooth. Alright u doing great Ricki.
