I hear your concerns and have read all your comments. I promise to do better in the future videos. I took a few liberties to enhance the story here but now fully understand how important it is to each one of you for me to stuck to established lore. Give me a chance, I'll do it right.
established lore is a flexible concept. There is no SCP cannon. For something to become established it just needs to receive buy in form enough people. If this were a tale on the SCP wiki, I would upvote it. The journey from Janitor to level 3 researcher was interesting to listen because of his curiosity about the foundation and its mysteries.

I find SCP 173 to be MORE scary than SCP 096. Just being careful NOT to look at something is way easier than ALWAYS HAVING to look at it.

@@Shade_Guye I saw a thought experiment for lack of a better term on a different SCP site where a photo of the shy guy was taped to the chest of the statue as a kind of catch 22 situation. I guess if you were extremely careful you could look directly into the statue's face and not see the pic but you would have to do it just right. By the way there was a video where some kind of force gave "upgrades" to the SCP entities making them even more powerful and deadly. I would love a REVERSAL where they are all "downgraded" in some way. For example maybe the shy guy ONLY kills you if you see him directly but photos and video are now safe and maybe blinking is safe with the statue but only that, if you look away he still kills you. It would be interesting to see an event that DOWNGRADES them. and maybe during this brief time the 682 reptile is not totally invincible anymore.

Fun fact: this is the first ever SCP, it was posted on 4chan in 2007, the foundation made the website in early 2008
and u can see a very similar idea from doctor who, whichalso used it in 2007. could imply that is was copied or freely created at the same time.

there are actually several entities that use this idea. There was an entire game devoted to this concept where an "experiment" breaks out of containment and I think you were one of the guards that was in the room with it. You then have to play the game without ever losing sight of it while constantly having to blink, find eye drops and finding weaponry. Needless to say, the average experience has you lose in about 2 minutes.

The way I interpretate SCP-173, is that it's a symbol for urban decay and decadence. It's made of concrete and spraypainted, which could represent run-down city buildings and sketchy alleys in poor urban areas, which also often are spraypainted. The shit and blood could represent all the dirt and lack of hygiene in big urban areas, everybody who went to a big metropolian area once in their lives (or god beware, lives there) knows the stench of some areas. The fact that it's killing you, when not looking, could symbolize the idea that you always have to be aware and on the look-out in urban areas. Urban crime, random acts of violence, muggings, robberies, rape, and murder are common fears of people living in cities, or people traveling sketchy areas. So you have to ALWAYS be aware, and look out for potential threats.

There's a tale on the scp wiki called "crunch" scp- 452 (I think that was the number) is an scp that used to be an agent but now cant see/hear/interact with humans, because of this he is depressed and goes to scp 173 and asks it to kill him, scp 173 wants to let him suffer for eternity and thinks that "crunch" is too good for him, so scp 173 doesn't kill scp 452.

This was confusing at first but basically for anyone who doesn’t understand, you have to look at 173 to keep it from killing you but you can’t look at the picture of 096 or it will kill you. So your options are look at 173 and 096 will kill you, or avoid looking at the picture and 173 will kill you because you are not looking at it.

So if you look up a bit of data on this scp the reason they dont use cameras or automated cleaning is because this scp has an anomalous effect on such devices cameras would begin to fill and shortcircuit with the same anomalous fluids this scp leaks so it's always done by hand for one reason or another this SCP likes to be watched and wants to be interacted with. You might not see this, but, SCP-1162 is a very underrated SCP and it's a really interesting one. Basically a hole in a wall that moves around and whenever you reach inside of it, you find something you lost a long time ago, but you lose something you have on you at the same time. Really cool one

@@KingPandeh it killed the criminals who were death row inmates but the other person wasn't a criminal so it didn't kill him. I think it was trying to keep him safe. The Foundation kept sending in D-class people who were known criminals so that is why they died when they blinked.

@@martinverdesoto7826 Sounds kinda interesting, and makes me love this little guy more, the idea it's more of a guardian with misunderstood intentions is kinda nice, but being new to all this SCP stuff, it's all just pretty cool. 049 easily being the most favorite now.
