Sorry but this doesn't make any sense. Frenkie didn't get his whole salary in the Covid period and his current salary is now this high because he is getting payed back. He is one of our most important players, he organises the whole 1st and 2nd phase and even delivers some assists now and than.
The salary will increase on summer. That's the problem. Frenkie is an amazing player, but Barça isn't able to pay that kind of salary and Frenkie knows it. Legally speaking, he can keep that salary and not change it at all, but man, that's not loving the club.
Frenkie's salary is also so big because his salary was not paid fully during covid and this upaid salary is added to his normal salary.

lol. You understand football. Some folks assume that simply because a CB is big, good on the ball a relatively mobile, he will be a good CDM. Even Pep, who has John Stones, never converted him into a conventional CDM. He starts from defense and rolls into midfield (different from CDM, played by Rodri even when Stones plays). People don’t understand that CDM work is one of the hardest and yet, most important jobs in football.

Putting most of the blame for the team's performance in Frenkie or saying he's been underwhelming is hard. More so when the defense has been shaky, Romeu has been awful and Lewa has not been there in goalscoring.
Moreover, harsh times have been within the club for years and he's decided to stay nonetheless... even when a team who could pay him WAY more called in.

You need Frenkie to have to any stability at ball progression from the defense, you need Pedri for creativity and Gavi to have any defensive ability and pressure. Every player in our 11 should have a main role and then pivy to the “all inclusive style of play” interchanging positions temporarily, but never abondoning their main roles. For me Frenkie is completely his main role AND improving greatly in recovering the ball.
