RIP Verdansk.I couldn't even get good at apex either myself. I really just casually played path and same deal for css, ze_ and Surf_ was where it was it. This game is different for me, being a long time battlefield player, primarily Bfc 3&4., I was hooked on the Cqb. All these years later, Heavy feels like a familiar home. It's also fun to make content with. If they add any kind of resemblence to that class with a drill, it's a sealed deal. P.S The building physics are up on that Red Faction of satisfying.
I don't understand how it's possible people aren't aware of this game. It was the number 1 most wishlisted game on steam before release, it was released during the game awards, they have a discord partnership, have ran twitch drop events, they've ran physical billboards in LA, NY and internationally, there's playstation exclusive bundles, I've gotten adds on Xbox and PS, etc. I agree it needs a marketing push, and it seems like the devs have been planning one, but wanted to make sure the game was in the best state possible before they marketed the game heavily. I just dont think it's a matter of people not knowing the game exists, it's just the fact they didn't like it on release and never tried it again.

I'm just commenting on the fact that many people say it needs more marketing, which I agree with, but I don't think it's because people aren't aware of the game. There's just so many streamers/youtubers that play their main game, tried out The Finals, shat on it, and returned to their main game. None of those content creators that I've seen do that really gave the game a fair shot, in my opinion, and never returned. They're not gonna risk losing money and views by going to a new game from a new studio when they have an established fanbase on their main game, unless they are directly paid to do it. Most of those fans, it seems, didn't even bother trying The Finals or try it again in recently. Ottr is like the only one that completely switched.
Been following all of Embark's projects and socials since CB1. Completely changed my outlook on other games, and now I am just reminded of how much better the finals really is when I play other games. I have huge faith in Embark and The Finals especially, I think Arc Raiders needs some work (I got to play the Alpha) but I am so ready to see what they've got planned next! Great points.
I just updated BF 2042 and came to that same realization. I played 5 min on the new map and was bored out of my mind. It some how felt even worse than when i played it last. Uninstalled. Super stoked of The Finals season 3 tho!

I say this as someone that only plays The Finals currently: Sorry you are high on weapons grade copium if you think S3 is going to make any huge difference to player numbers. They could spend $1billion on marketing and nothing will change. By far the biggest issue is and always has been that people simply don’t like the core game because 3v3v3v3 doesn’t work, most matches you either get third partied or sit at a cashout doing nothing for a few minutes because 3 teams are on the other one. Nobody enjoys being punished for doing well and no game should ever punish players for doing well. Also The Finals is probably the least solo friendly game in existence right now, thats why nobody is coming back. Having teams of 3 means a single bad or missing teammate destroys your teams chance of winning. They need to change the core game to two teams of 5 or 6 players. Until that happens this game will never grow. It was great to see the devs try something new, unfortunately it didn't really work out. We all have to decide if we want to see this game continue to slowly wind down, or accept this change needs to be made and demand the devs implement it.
I think if they go further into terminal attack and power shift there is some real potential to grab an audience. The only main issue is balancing between the modes. Tbf terminal attack could be easily resolved by locking abilities to 1. Which also prevents full teams of 1 class. Power shift is just a case of the weapons and utilities being so much better or worse. I’m not sure how power shift could be changed
@@gunster1759 Terminal attack and powershift are casual modes with little depth and don’t reflect the core “reach the finals” selling point. Terminal attack could be reworked but it’ll be impossible to balance properly without breaking the core game. @TahsinMiah-vc3fs Powershift just needs a cashout station fixed to the platform and have cash boxes spawn around the map, then you’d ‘fuel’ the platform with cash boxes to make it move once your team has cleared it. Make the platform gradually slow down as it runs out of cash so constantly gathering cash boxes is required. And make the cashout stealable.
i think a point that not alot of people talk about is the fact that this game is only on new gen consoles, i have friends that want to play but cant because its only on the newest xbox or playstation. idk how many people that would be but im sure that there are some that want to play but j cant because of that fact.
Not to be rude because I don't know your friends financial situations but that's kinda on them at this point. New or used, modern gen consoles are available everywhere now. The scalper days are over.

I 100% agree, ever since i heard about embark creating this game i was hooked and it had the some of the og bf devs so i even more hooked already lol. Season 3 will be a epic season i bet and i hope ranked gets the rework we all deserve as i have reached diamond 4 many times in season 2 because i keep loosing so much and then winning so much and so i dont rlly go anywhere, but maybe thats because thats where im supposed to be, but i would like to see why im stuck in that rank also so hopefully season 3 provides that as hiding it is frustrating Im also excited for summer games fest because of embark being there lol

This game is actually so fun. I tried out halo infinite multiplayer and Xdefiant and ended up coming right back. Controls feel smooth, weapons well balanced, I like the destructive environments
I can't believe they changed the reviving and cash out stealing back to how it was where you couldn't look around or it would cancel. It was so good to be finally aware while reviving and made defib less of a necessity in ranked. Bad decision by embark ngl or perhaps it's a bug I don't know.
I think a big problem with the game is the fact that it is objective based. It’s hard for casual player to get in and have fun. Now apex is a hard game but the br aspect lets casuals have fun by camping, sniping, looting up etc. it now has other avenues like tdm. Same goes for warzone. A game like valorant or cs both really competitive but the slower pace and with valorant the use of utilities to help the team win and the communication helps with the casual playerbase. This game is fast paced and really focused on objective and team play which is hard. I think the addition of terminal attack is pretty good and if they explore that it could be huge but maybe dumb down the 3 team cash out so respawn is instant or there are no team wipes. Also take power away from 3rd parties by allowing time held on cash out to count towards points
I have played the finals since the first beta to come out, and I gotta say I really enjoyed playing, and couldn't wait for full release, once the game came out I played through season 1, got the battlepass and finished it, but unfortunately the game was a bit unbalanced back then and that made me stop playing after completing the battlepass, on the beginning of season 2 I started playing once again, still had some major balancing issues, and that made me stop playing, around 30 days left for season ending, I came back and I gotta say I'm really enjoying the game now, and I think it has huge potential, it's way more balanced, I feel like I already can use another weapons instead of always the "meta" one because the lack of balancing, and tbh it's looking great and I can't wait for season 3
hey bro i pray for you to get 100k to a million subs because i played finals in beta and it was still good in beta ima apex legends player so my movement is scary to plays because i use ziplines to fling around i use the jump pads to do air movements where i look like a fly just doing spins and etc
does anyone else feel like on bank it, that they recently made it so you can always see anyone's location if they're carrying a lot of coins? I know it was like that before, but it seems like it only used to show where they were if they were far away. I've been getting chased by like 5 people at once when I'm running to cash out and they all know exactly where i am. so there always ends up being like 2 people with 30k running to cash out.
Personally, I love this game. I love the direction and outlook from Embark and Embark to me, have shown great artistic and creative tone. But, what I feel is really not working for the Finals is what makes it unique. The class system, although fresh and unique, just isn't working in the grand scheme of things. Classes that have different health pools, weapons and gadgets require so much thought in to it's balancing, the Dev's are really trying hard to balance the whole lot and I feel it's just become a shell of it's form self. It's death by 1000's cuts that's really hurting the casual player base. They all just retreat back to their main games as they can't establish themselves in this game. People keep going on about the marketing, I just don't get it. Would a major marketing push really help this game....I don't think so. Season 3 will have to be a MASSIVE Reboot and in the direction that "normalizes" this game for better or for worse. Scraping the class system, even player health pools and more gun variety and gadgets being available to all players. Edit weapon loadouts for better and deeper casual personalization would help. Let's hope Embark really try and Reboot this system!
it's a beautiful thing that the devs listen to the community, but I wish it was only for bugs and glitches not for balancing changes to the game! that's the devs job, not the community of complainers job. I'm extremely hopeful for season 3🙏
If they add reasons for people to play the new robust ranking system, as well as spectator mode and tournament mode in customs games, with more controllable options, we’ll be looking good in season 3
it doesn't need a comeback..the game never gone down 300K daily active users across all platforms..steam charts aren't the thing that we call a game dead or not based on the player numbers in there lol

I played this one after release and will never play siege again. The finals is by far the best fps that’s been released, there’s not a single game that can compete due to how unique it is. They need to pump some money into marketing and it will blow up
I mean this is a simple issue: content. One map every 90 days is insanity. Nothing has been done with map modifiers and in-game events are not impactful. There’s zero account progression and not a genuine camo grind (which I know, I know…other games do this already). There needs something to keep players like me continuously on the hamster wheel for. Where’s fame prestige for character level? When are VRs going to be worth something? What are we doing Embark?
there is such thing as enjoying a game for what it is and not needing a constant dopamine fix to enjoy something that is good. Not saying it cant improve but if you are playing the game just to consume new content just move on.
I stopped playing because there was no region lock for China, so EU servers were full of Chinese Cheaters. And it was impossible to win a game when you play with randoms. How is the stiuation right now?
I really think that The Finals is one of if not the best shooters out right now. But all the people I know say the same thing, and that is that the games use of AI is holding them back because they want to see VAs get proper work instead of simply being paid for the rights to their voice. And I can't say that I blame them, especially as someone who wants to try and get into the VA industry. But it seems to me that Embark really may need to reconsider their use of AI if the game is to get the attention that it deserves. The Finals is truly an incredible game, it pains me to see them make a choice in favor of computers over artists, especially when it is so plain to see how much passion is behind the game from people who make Game Design into a real work of art.
Why is everyone so desperate to praise the game, and ignore the obvious problems Lack of marketing is not a problem for a game this size, they had way more players and couldnt hold them. Problems with the game: Constant server issues Poor community managing (e.x banning specific people for emote cancelling and then making them “pinky promise” for unban) Game breaking bugs, falling out of the map, getting stuck in the ground, walls etc, getting kicked out of a lobby without ability to reconnect Cheaters, problem is mainly in d1, didn’t really meet many in the ranks before Ranked system is a joke, wtf does the arrows mean??, sometimes I can have 3 games in a row with 2 arrows down, then win one and rank up Sometimes there is no punishment for leaving a ranked game, have had the same teammate 2 games in a row with him leaving as soon as the game started both games Also the game is way to confusing for new players, everything about the game you have to figure out yourself, add a real tutorial instead of the current bs

Don't make videos if u don't know what ur talking about. They only make changes based on the casual player base hence why the esport scene is dead. The overall player base numbers are declining each week for this reason. And there is pay to win the iron sight on the stick revolver is goated... 🤡
Most games have their player base come from casual players, making changes to ease the on-boarding experience for new or casual players is absolutely not the reason the game is dying

I stopped playing because there was no region lock for China, so EU servers were full of Chinese Cheaters. And it was impossible to win a game when you play with randoms. How is the stiuation right now?

I really think that The Finals is one of if not the best shooters out right now. But all the people I know say the same thing, and that is that the games use of AI is holding them back because they want to see VAs get proper work instead of simply being paid for the rights to their voice. And I can't say that I blame them, especially as someone who wants to try and get into the VA industry. But it seems to me that Embark really may need to reconsider their use of AI if the game is to get the attention that it deserves. The Finals is truly an incredible game, it pains me to see them make a choice in favor of computers over artists, especially when it is so plain to see how much passion is behind the game from people who make Game Design into a real work of art.

Why is everyone so desperate to praise the game, and ignore the obvious problems
Lack of marketing is not a problem for a game this size, they had way more players and couldnt hold them.
Problems with the game:
Constant server issues
Poor community managing (e.x banning specific people for emote cancelling and then making them “pinky promise” for unban)
Game breaking bugs, falling out of the map, getting stuck in the ground, walls etc, getting kicked out of a lobby without ability to reconnect
Cheaters, problem is mainly in d1, didn’t really meet many in the ranks before
Ranked system is a joke, wtf does the arrows mean??, sometimes I can have 3 games in a row with 2 arrows down, then win one and rank up
Sometimes there is no punishment for leaving a ranked game, have had the same teammate 2 games in a row with him leaving as soon as the game started both games
Also the game is way to confusing for new players, everything about the game you have to figure out yourself, add a real tutorial instead of the current bs
lets hope they fix this all in season 3, and yeah ranked is so messed up right now.

Don't make videos if u don't know what ur talking about. They only make changes based on the casual player base hence why the esport scene is dead. The overall player base numbers are declining each week for this reason. And there is pay to win the iron sight on the stick revolver is goated... 🤡
Most games have their player base come from casual players, making changes to ease the on-boarding experience for new or casual players is absolutely not the reason the game is dying
