Noticed you have separate throttle and collective. That’s an upgrade. You can test the gyro by picking up the heli by the head and simply wagging the tail. The tail servo should move the tail rotor blades to counter the direction you’re moving it. In flight, set the gain to where the tail starts to wag and then bring the gain down just a hair. I highly doubt it’s a heading hold gyro in there as those were just coming out when that heli was being replaced. If you pull the carb there may be a small O ring attached. Replace it.
Also, pull out the mixture needle and make sure there is no debris inside the carb. When you put it back together, turn it all the way in and 3 turns out. Approximately. You should see quite a bit of smoke when it’s running. Also, fuel is crazy expensive these days but 10% should work fine. It’s an airplane engine anyway but be careful with heat. That little fan doesn’t put out much air which is why you need to run it rich. Don’t expect a high head speed also, they weren’t made for that.
