- Today I will be reviewing and comparing the YSL Saint Laurent WOC in black in the standard and the smaller size. I will go in depth as to what the main differences are between the 2 bags, what are the pros and cons of each, how much stuff you can fit into each one, as well as tips on how to wear them. I own the same woc , 2018 batch, but the logo is not as bright gold as the chain, is yours the same?
Hi Tummy S! I just looked and I never noticed it but yes, my chain is a deeper gold than the logo! I'm wondering if it's the shape of the links and how close they are together but you are absolutely right, I never noticed it before. My friend sold the *condup* and it looks like the real thing you showed. It even comes with an authenticity card that matches the serial number of each bag. But her fake was $500.

Thanks for the review. I tried to understand the difference of these two bags and your video is helpful. how have the smaller one held up around the corner? If I want the bag that can keep the thick car remote, I should go with smaller one right? The big one doesn't seems to be wide enough for storing thick item in the middle area.
I’m also 5’0 and I love the strap length of the bigger one, but the size of the smaller lol. Would go for bigger!

I tried on both at Nordy this week and even though I'm 5'1, I liked the bigger one more. Just found the small one to be too small in interior capacity. My iPhone 12 Pro Max that is in a OtterBox case (4 kiddos under 5) does not fit in the bag. Plan to purchase both the black on gold and dark beige on gold.

I love the larger WOC; just wondering have you noticed any color fading on the YSL logo? Thinking about getting the silver hardware if this is an issue.
what is the price difference and measurements of the small one? Also to make the strap smaller, I have seen people criss cross it inside inside the purse. Thank you for sharing!

I was told at the Boutique that each bag comes with a 10 year warranty with the receipt (proof of purchase) so if you buy it from any major department store, they would honor that still. I'm not sure what the policy is for pre-loved if that's what the websites you mentioned are. I hope that was helpful! I have the larger woc and it pops open on its own. All I have is a small hand sanitizer my iPhone my house keys car keys a lipstick contact drops and some cards and cash. Does yours do this?

Doesn’t it chip off? I saw a review saying after a few wear, it started chipping off and the representative told her it’s because it’s painted so that’s why it will wear out eventually. It’s the exact same bag too, the large monogram. So now I’m hesitant to get it. Is this true?

Hi, I will work on that! The wear and tear on the bag has been surprisingly not bad. Only a little peeling on the sides of the bag but I'm not sure if you caught my other videos but YSL offer a 10 year warranty on their bags so if you do have issues, they will fix it for free. The small option is great and I were it all the time as a crossbody. I love how cute and versatile it is! Hope that was helpful, thanks for watching :)

Beautiful handbag! If I were to ask your opinion about the hardware because I'm thinking of getting both YSL WOC and Chanel Flap bag. Which is better YSL in gold hardware / Chanel in silver hardware or vice versa?
Hi, that's a great question! I prefer the gold hardware for the YSL WOC because I think it looks so elegant but for the Chanel Flap bag, I would go with the silver hardware personally if your bag color is black. I think the gold hardware on the black bag makes it look a bit stuffy and not as chic as the silver hardware. But if you are getting the bag in beige, I would definitely recommend the gold hardware as it complements the beige and looks great together. Hi! Jodi, i hope you reply. Im trying to find an answer. It is hard to find side pics. For the wallet on chain, the sides does it have silt at the bottom where loose change can fall out. Or is it completely closed.
Hi Luv_May70! The side do NOT have slits on the bottom, both bags are completely closed on the bottom. But there is a small gap at the top of the bag on both sides so if your bag is tipped upside down and you have change in there, there could be a chance that the change can slip out through the top opening even when it's buttoned but I have had these for a while now and I've never had that problem and I toss the bags everywhere! :P Hope that was helpful

Also I checked out both sizes at the Saint Laurent at Saks, Toronto. If am not wrong they mentioned that the bag comes with 2 yr warranty. Am wondering how you were offered 10 yr warranty, has the policy changed recently, or did you sign up for any extended care? Thanks! :)
Hi Naz! The bag has held up great for me, I wear the crossbody as an everyday bag and I have had no issues with peeling or anything. I was informed of the 10 year warranty at the Saint Laurent boutique in Scottsdale, Arizona so I'm not sure if it's different if it's at Saks or at a stand alone boutique? Hope that was helpful! :)

Thank you!!! No, the standard size does not hurt my shoulder at all. They feel pretty much the same since I carry the same amount of items for both. Even with it jammed to the max, it does not hurt. Hi Andre'Marie Nguyen! Yes, your iPhone XS Max will fit in the smaller version. The dimensions of the phone is 6.20 x 3.05 x 0.30 inches and the dimensions of the bag is 7.4 x 3.9 x 1.4 inches so it will fit in there just fine. You'll probably only be able to put a lip gloss, lip stick, compact and your credit cards and ID in there and not much more, and nothing more bulky like your phone.

Hi May Lee! If you open the WOC and look at the middle zippered compartment it has two sides (front and back). The serial number is on the "backside" on the very bottom. You will need a flashlight to find it and see it clearly because it's embossed into the leather. Let me know if you have any issues finding it and I hope this was helpful! Hey! I've had this bag for 6 months and I haven't had this problem. But I also don't wear it as an everyday bag so maybe the wear and tear will come. I do see the edges if they start to crack or peel can get sticky. HOWEVER, I found out from the store that every bag comes with a 10 year warranty so if anything is wrong with it, they will send you a label to ship it bak to be either replaced or repaired. That's what sold me on it! This is a fact I know when I visit Bali: they price it higher for foreigners and domestic tourists, but lower for locals (usually touristy ones), so I usually go in *condup* to go shopping
What would you suggest as a 1st luxury everyday bag
Hi Shikeereya! As a first everyday luxury bag, I would definitely recommend the YSL WOC or the NEW camera bags that they just came out with! They are so beautiful, chic and most importantly, very affordable entry pieces that cost between $990-$1,500 as compared to the Chanel Flap bags that start at $5,000 used :/ I love my YSL bags and they are definitely bags that I wear often and are great entry luxury pieces. I hope that was helpful!

I love your bag reviews. I wanna ask what’s the serial number on your bag? I just bought mine today and the serial number started with GNC393953..., but online and on my receipt the serial number starts with 393953BOW011000. Thanks.
Hi Micarla Pangan! On my WOC the standard size, the serial number starts with GUE277.... The serial number that is on the bag is the serial number used to authenticate it. The 393 number is for the bigger one, and the serial numbers all start with 3 letters
