"Time Is Now" was the lead-off single from Moloko's third LP "Things To Make And Do". Released in March 2000 it hit number 2 in the UK singles chart. The track also features in Grand Theft Auto V (Non Stop Pop Channel) and was used extensively on Sky Sports' 2004 English Premier League football coverage.

IMO, this song is Moloko's masterpiece . Those 4 little piano notes starting after the middle of the song and running softly to the end are totally modifying the mood making it melancholic . It's pure genius .

They've always thrown out mixes based on global projections and money. And you'll find the majority of music from each decade is terrible. We only think the old stuff is better because we remember the good stuff and forget the stuff not worth remembering. The 2010s are no different and the 2020s won't be either. :)

This song sounds like it could have been released in 2020. The very minimal and organic production for a dance track sounds like nothing else from 2000; because of this it's aged so well.
I find it so satisfying when labels take the trouble to upload good quality HD transfers of old videos :-) Wish they would all do this, it's great promotion of the song! Róisín looks great :-) Many labels do the exact opposite and upload low-res, cropped or distorted videos of classic hit songs!
This bass player, like the one in the Bulgarian group Ревю or Revu doing Zakuska,
is really great. It is so nice to see other bass players who actually play
the instrument as opposed to just slapping and popping the thing
like a four to six string drum set. I have played bass for decades and
this guy sounds excellent to me. The whole band is excellent. Their
music is timeless. I just heard about Moloko a couple years ago and
just fell in love with their sound.
