@@kumaking5519 dont misunderstand, i know hes not too keen on the spotlight, i just want nothing but the best for this guy. Ive only been listening for the last year or so, but his producing, his flow, his wordplay, he has made 98% of modern hip-hop/rap garbage in my ears.

@@ryandvernychuk7033 yeah I'm pretty sure money wise Aes is fine in life lol Like from listening to interviews with him first of all dude lived in NYC which is expensive then he moved to San Francisco another one of the most expensive cities. Hes always been one of the biggest underground rappers for over 20 years and has a very strong cult following so whenever he tours or does shows people come (and touring is where most musicians make their money).

That’d take a while, it’s just an existential-dread piece-with bits of his perception of society around him as people who, to actually- i’ll say subjectively ‘improve’ - they would need to sacrifice their own immediate happiness his “Model city in a bottle” view from his self-perpetuating solitary life, he seems both to be weighed by this cynical view, as well as relating to it, as well as unrelating to it, his complicated modes and of handling this day in day out is overall a headache and hence this song exists.. “maybe this sunken ship is the treasure, no but they insist it’s so”, and every word that comes before that line and the “my name is..” parts are the most important parts of the song imo- a common theme in his work, albeit my description is so bad because I really want to be concise and, this was lazily said^ lmao - It would take too much time to really break it down even generally without using many words for me atm, kinda stoned and have a toothache - but ify - his less relatable music is often harder to understand for me - this is line for line exactly relatable for me~
Get Out of The Car by Aes is basically a reflection and catharsis of sorts from this headspace

Just to create some context for newer fans that make their way to this page, I first heard Appleseed when a friend pirated the album after I had heard Float, Labor days, and many albums released after Appleseed. An official release of Appleseed is overdue, as even Aesop's early works show the potential for what will become conversations discussing hip-hops GOAT.

Probably that this album is the seed for his career, being one of his first albums with some actual idea of it's distribution and like an apple seed, it took about 20 years to be fruitful and great.

Not hating on Atmos but almost all their albums nowadays are pretty formulaic and kinda samey while Aesop literally every single album has its own sound and he has a completely different style/voice tone/differen't kinda beats and even different writing styles..etc he uses on each album which keeps it interesting af.
