- Greg McHale lives for Dall sheep hunting. On this hunt in the Canadian Yukon, he treks through thick brush and past glaciers to locate a band of rams living in a nearly inhospitable field of rocks and boulders. Can he connect on a ram he has been watching for four years?

What an emotional rollercoaster! This is not "just" hunting, this is adventure at its best! Huge congratulation Greg - great work and team effort!
This is an excellent example of what hunting means to all of us. Thank you for being a well spoken ambassador for the hunting community! Congrats on your successful harvest too!!!
beautiful video, thanks for sharing! Most people will never understand or appreciate the amount of work put into a hunt like this. But the few of us that do, we tip our hat to you.
Thank you, Erich!
Fantastic patience, shot, trophy, experience, country and blessings of freedom! Congratulations on an amazing animal.
Thank you for such a beautiful and authentic film, I loved every second of it. And now I want one of those dinghies in camo too! Please make more films like this, I could watch it a hundred times.
Thanks, Torsten. You can see this and other episodes of my show on my CZcams channel. Here is the raft: www.alpackaraft.com/rafting/product/bha-forager/
I have my first sheep hunt this fall and this film captures all I hope to accomplish! Thanks for the great film.
A beautiful film, enchanting nature and this space .... Greetings from Poland
I believe someone who is a hunter in the truest sense has a sadness and joy combined in the taking of such a fine animal as a trophy
Love your television show. Beautiful scenery and always Fair Chase. Please continue!!
Awesome! Excellent video, great hunt and thank you for wearing the PFD. I really like the respect you show for the harvesting of an animal.
Sweet!!! What an excellent hunt with great footage. I was heartened to see you were shaking -just a wee bit- when taking aim on that beauty of a ram.

@@GregMcHalesWildYukon Thanks, Greg. I'm working my way up. Just a novice hunter from Belize learning from great guys like yourself. I'm planning my first elk hunt next year in Oregon.
I see that camo kayak... hoping to see it for sale at some point
It's an Alpaka raft.

Wow beautiful country
Alpacker raft. But hey you've got to get a matching kuiu PFD,,,,so cool
Always positive, I like that guy. Great ram!
Thank you, Kevin!
Epic hunt and video!! Such a dream! Out of interest, how long were you out for this hunt from start to finish?
Greg - great video and great ethics. What is the name of that small pack that is around your rifle? Looks like it protects your scope and also can be used as a rest. Thanks!
4 months????!!! Sounds awesome.
Staying until the end to watch him paddle back up that river
The first part of the video didn't look like much fun, fighting through the willows. Once you got out of them then the fun started!
Congratulations on a great adventure!
Really liked the enthusiasm and respect for the game.
Regarding your gear, what was the optics/scope cover? Not the wool sock one :)
That's a scope cover from Air Armor Tech. Also check out their gun cases airarmortech.com/product-category/inflatable-scope-covers/
What is the rifle holder/shooting rest strapped to the rifle that was used?
What caliber was used?
Does anyone know the name of the blow up kayak / if it’s for sale?
You can find it here: www.alpackaraft.com/rafting/product/bha-forager/
Epic
how did you exit the area? rafting?
I like the tent maybe time to up grade
KUIU's tents are incredible. You won't be disappointed.
👊🏻
How old did that ram end upannul? I paused and counted at least 9 annuli. Congrats
That's tough hunting.
what happened with the first shot?
What trekking poles are those?
Those are one of the variants made by LEKI. I always choose carbon fibre poles.
What did he blow the boat up with and what is the name of the boat
Where can i buy the inflatable boat at 2:00?
Great video men big effort what caliber and scope choice if you don’t mind all the way from Ireland 🇮🇪
That's a 6.5 Creedmore scope with the Vortex Optics Razor HD LH 3-15x42 (vortexoptics.com/rzr-1589.html). I am running 7mm SAUM now, but there are a bunch of great calibres out there for sheep and goats. Hello from Canada!
@@GregMcHalesWildYukon thank you for the reply fine setup looking forward to many more videos
@@GregMcHalesWildYukon You can kill sheep with just about anything, even archery. The main thing is to see them before they see you. You demonstrate excellent ethics in your videos. You are a credit to our hunting fraternity.
VERY COOL you shot "The Sheep of a Lifetime" with a rifle I had a hand in building. Praise God for the opportunity!! What # is it Greg?
"Sheep hunters understand what it takes to get after rams year after year".....only $40-$50k and a hell of an understanding wife ha.
Might get you a Dall or possibly Bighorn, but that’s just a deposit on a Stone or Desert.
Hey Greg, another fabulous sheep hunting vid. Please keep them coming. I love how you show off the absolute beauty of our home, the Yukon wilderness. I truly miss the serenity of hunting sheep, climbing the mountains, hiking the ridges and yes, even hunkering down under some boulders to shelter from a passing squall. I Blew out my knee about 15yrs ago while stocking a monster ram in the Ruby range. That injury combined with my advancing age have limited my sheep hunts to 1 other hunt since. Glad I can get a sense of being in the mountain tops again through your videos. With that being said, I do question your sponsorship from Kuiu. I will never purchase product from a company that sponsored a hunt by Donald Trump Jr. Just saying.
Animal rights they said lol
it`s good but way too repetative.
What did you notice that was repetitive?
yeah less yacking more hunting
