For real world spirited driving trust me you dont need more than 343bhp especially in the uk. This car is still scary fast and holds on like rails when cornering, trust me age is only a number when it comes to the e46 m3 performs like the best of them. Shorter steering rack and i think this is an allround winner. Where the m3 csl's at?? đđŸ Also z4m roadster is up next

Jack Naylor 21k! Have to say i like the colour combo but that is a lot of money. I paid 12k 3 years ago for 55plate E46 M3, which I thought was a little expensive at the time.
Jack Naylor Must be low mileage and coupled with the individual colour hasnât helped the cost, will help a lot when he does eventually decide to sell the car.
In the last 3-5 years, car prices seem to have gone a bit insane on anything quick in the UK. Looking at TT Manual supras a few years ago, average was about 10-15k for a real nice one. You wouldnât get change out of 20+k now. E46 M3âs have again shot right up in price, itâs crazy.

A fantastic choice, especially in Ruby Red. Don't mod it as that will devalue it. For those that know the e46 M3, like the e39 M5, provides a raw, visceral experience. The s54 won the International Engine of the Year award outright in 2001 and the 3-4 litre category from 2001- 2006. It was second to the Zonda S in ECOY 2001. By comparison the e92 M3 came 5th & the F80 9th out of 10. The car is focused, compact and raw. I've owned a lot of cars like a 996 Turbo with a powerkit, a Carrera S, an e92 M3 but the e46 was the best driving experience. It does not make it easy & requires commitment, you have to drive it but the more you put in the more you get out.

I've had M5s (F10 & E60) M6, including competition pack and the only M car I have decided to keep is E46 M3 CS out of them all. It truly is my favourite M car out of them all. Great video, more E46 M3 videos please.

Love my 2004 M3 to death... absolute money pit; Dual VANOS rebuild, valve adjustment, full suspension refresh F&R, RACP repair/reinforcement, high performance head gasket replacement, high perf rod bearings replacement (re-designed w/ extra clearance between bearing & journal).. we haven't even gotten to performance mods yet. $5k+ in parts alone and I'm still smiling... just an absolute blast to drive each day to and from work! Can't wait for the list to get completed so it can be tested on the track!!

Fair play to the lad. Buying an M3 is not that bad, but running it is mad expensive. Here in Ireland for someone his age the insurance would be like 15k and then the petrol is 1.46 euro per litre.
I have a 2005 E46 M3 in Imola red with a cinnamon interior. Even though it's a soft top, I track it all the time because I spent a small fortune on brakes and aftermarket suspension. All stiff polyurethane bushings too, so the car is quite stiff despite being a soft top.
So far the car thrives on a very long race course in Sebring Florida. 3.7 miles of pure joy. Actually some of the track is in horrible condition, and you need really good suspension to drive fast over it.
I beat much much faster cars on that race track 223 Superior and Lee of my modified M3. Trust me I am only a novice driver but I beat all the Porsches and most of Corvettes. Or I should say my car beats them. đ
I will never sell my E46 M3.

By far the best BMW creation alongside the E39 M5. Best models in my personal opinion which I feel some features have been replicated slightly in the F10 model.

S54 engine is awesome but it needs to be driven hard to get the most out of it, a remap and better air flow/exhaust goes a long way
It makes me laugh with people in the comments saying he's daft for paying ÂŁ21k for it, admittedly it is high and for the colour combination it doesn't seem like a great deal, I am presuming the cars low mileage and on the basis it is if it was in the sought after black on black he wouldn't have any change out of ÂŁ26k, but remember it's the last of the E46 M3's made with the last of the NA straight 6's, it has a good spec ie H&K and comes with the desirable manual box and I believe the optional 18/19's, and its been rated as one of the best drivers cars ever, they are now a collectors car and when he comes to sell it he will no doubt get his money back if not make on it, yes there are cars which for the cash would make more sense ie R32, R33, RX7 etc etc but it was his choice

I'm on my second E46 M3 (2003 Titanium over Gray 6MT) and have watched many videos about them. There's really nothing new in this one besides the young owner practically wetting himself in the passenger's seat. What is different about this one is the car. Ruby Red over Champagne (schwing!) and pristine both inside and out. Beautiful car!

Rear Sub frame... is poss the biggest turn off with purchasing one of these. Still a classic model. Saw the video in this order. Read comments, skip to Ricky driving, wait for owners reaction (looool), leave comment, watch intro. This Channel gets better and better! Hats off to you Ricky.

AMoushi SMG, just make sure itâs a 2004-2006. It has the SMG 2 transmission in it and is much more reliable. I currently have a 2005 BMW M3 in interlagos blue. I daily it everyday and love every second of it. If you planning on driving it daily I would get an SMG, but if your saving it for a fun weekend car definitely get a manual!

They had part time jobs and saved money over the years which allowed them to buy a car they wanted . They didnât waste money on having a night out every day like some people and cooked for themselves instead of buying takeaway etc.
What a lovely car. That's my favourite era of BMW - both the e46 and the e39 - and certainly my favourite M3. And it just looks so good and classy in that colour & interior combo. A real timeless coupe.

Brother, change your exhaust immediately. Get some big ass resonators in your mid pipes and a free-flowing final Muffler and these cars can be made to sound incredible.
The very best sounding combination I found is headers with a cat delete with the very expensive Borla midpipe section and finished off with an El Diablo Muffler by Rogue engineering.
Ai high revs it sounds like an F1 car but at low revs it's nice and burbly.
