    Adam, I love going on road trips, I remember as a child my parents would take us on vacation and I remember sleeping in the car in the back window. Those were the days. To this day I still love going on road trips. I love your vlogs.

    the little cage the calf was in is called a catch pen. it's used to hold the animals in place when getting vaccines and other things that is needed to hold them to prevent injury to human or the animal. I live on a cattle farm so I see it every day.

    My family owned a Ford camper special with the camper. My Dad would take us on summer road trips and we would camp at whichever lake we were around. I remember very fondly that clacking noise from the older highways. The best noise in the world to me, it put me to sleep countless times.

    man i cannot express my self how much i love these small town videos ! its like , not even the Americans know about those places ,and god bless those old ppl that showed u around , i got the sad feeling that those old houses will be eaten by nature when those ppl pass away ,its like they`re keeping each other alive , u can tell how excited they were to show you/us around

    That abandoned rail line was pretty cool, although I will say it wasn't the smartest thing to assume it was abandoned. Lots of rail lines are in bad condition but still in use. The one you were on was definitely abandoned, but just be a little more careful next time.

    The tornado footage just tears at your heart strings that many people have no place safe to go.I was in a tornado at age 8 in 1966 in Indiana.We were in a small mobile home and that thing was rocking back and forth....wow...scary as hell.Hey Adam.....now show the people the Georgia Guide Stones....many people still don't know

    born and raised in Dallas. We seen a lot of tornadoes. One twister came down about 2 blocks from our home for about 2-6 seconds in a shopping mall I was about 11 or 12 I learned respect for Twister's fast. Been in the South last 25 years and I seem to not be able to get away from them " Twister's " as weather patters have changed.

    I hope you're going to Savannah to one of my favorite filming locations in the city... my father recognized it when he was watching this movie because he went to school as a kid right around the corner from where they placed the bench Tom Hanks sat on. Lots of great history in that city.

    Those were probably sand or washed gravel.They put them in those giant bags so they can be off loaded by heavy equipment.I used to haul these driving a flatbed truck.

      It is on my bucket list to take a road trip all down through the southern states. I`m from Canada and I think it would be so interesting and fun to see all the small towns and meet peolple, and try different foods. Adam is basically on that road trip for me!!!

    The bags on the flatbed are used for grass clippings. They are usually dropped at a house a week or more where home owners fill it to the top with grass clippings and tree clippings. The owner of the bags comes back with the truck to collect the full bags and take them too the dump. A. xoxox

    I love a good road trip, and have done a few from Ontario to Nova Scotia, in Canada, and also down to WDW, but the best one was from Vail, Colorado to the Grand Canyon. Did that one with my Grandma, and my younger sister. Lots of amazing things to see. Keep safe, Adam.

    The large white bags can be any sort of dry bulk item like grain, sand, lime, grass seed, top soil, nuts, seeds etc. The bags allow for use of forks or over head lifting.

    The white bags are full of cotton. The pillar things on the side of the road used to be the front of a gas station/souvenir shop. It went away because someone in the family decided not to carry on with the family business.

    Did some research on coal mining in Sylvester Georgia and there is some mining in the area. In Ky. those bags are used to contain rockdust used to coat the coal ribs to prevent a mine explosion.

    i used to work in agriculture and that strange cow device you saw is called a cattle crusher. it is used for checkups or to administer first aid/ treatment. some expensive versions even weigh the cow. full size versions cost around $14.414 not cheap at all.

    my guess on that truck with the big white fabric bags on the back is that it was hauling waste abrasive. it's the byproduct of cutting metal using a water jet machine. it's basically just mud made of whatever abrasive material is aged to the jet stream of water to aid in cutting, usually a natural abrasive likea sand or ground stone. It can be disposed of safely anywhere as long as the material getting cut wasn't something hazardous like lead.
    so it was basically a bunch of big sacks of mud.

    Wow!!!! I love this vlog! I love in Poulan, Ga. You missed the best parts and history. It used to have a cotton mill a hotel, a bank ( both of which still are standing today.) Possum Poke is the winter home of former Michigan Governor Chase Osborne. Very interesting story. I just started watching CZcams and I am so enjoying your vlogs. The tornado damage you showed killed several people and devastated all the surrounding counties.

    I hope Adam makes trip to Wildwood NJ once sooner gets here. It's the unknown birthplace of Rock and Roll and used to be called the Vagas of the East, long before Atlantic City became what it is.
    I'll have to try posting this on more videos in the future to make sure Adam sees it. It'd make my summer if I could show him around. I've gone there every summer for 39 years and I'm counting down to the 40'th
    It's really a place that someone like Adam just has to visit.

    Looks like the flatbed was hauling those huge bags of lime waste treatment plants use. Not a close enough look to see for sure.

    Those are big bags of grain on the back of the flatbed. He probably owns a cattle farm and went down to the local grain silo fill those up and is going back to feed the cows

    Truck hauling = bulk gravel or mulch in sacks. Very handy in cities where they don't want you dumping materials in the street

    13:16 T-33. My Dad flew those when he was in the USAF. He actually trained German Luftwaffe pilots in the T-33 when he was stationed in Germany in the mid 1950s.
