  • British BMX rider Kieran Reilly admits that there is a target on his back ahead of the Paris Olympics later this month.
He qualified for his maiden Games following strong performances in Shanghai and Glasgow, and having won the men's freestyle park world championships in 2023, is among the favourites for the gold medal.
Reilly also made history when he performed the first ever Triple flair trick back in 2022.
BMX is a relatively new Olympic sport having made it's debut in 2008, but Reilly admitted that as soon as he became aware of it's Olympic standing, that became the goal saying, "I love the title of Olympian but I love the title of Olympic champion even more."
But he also argued that it's a very open field, with each rider having just 60 seconds to impress when the time comes.
