If you search on "make me forget sample kit", Bass Kleph has just released a set of samples from his new track in Maschine ready format, plus a tutorial.
Great video, especially the tip about runing Maschine as a plugin in ableton and just using the nudge buttons to keep time. I've been screwing around trying to sync Maschine to the midi clock from my mixer. I still wonder if you could send BPM info to Maschines clock by runing both USB cables out of the CDJs into a PC. The USB cables obviously send BPM/Pitch info one example of this would be when using CDJS with Tracktor.
hes using maschine as a vst inside of ableton, then he created a side chain in ableton then assigned the contol of it from build up and down into the knob. sides like a simple white noise buildup that can be easily done in ableton
i agree i mean i am sure some of us could figure it out to an extent but maybe some in depth stuff about stretching it out like he said while preserving the sample u KWIM?
Hey Ean, this is slightly off topic for this video, but is it possible you could start selling special Midi Fighter pros that have the same 5X4 grid as the cue master you use in videos? Your Midi Fighter looks epic
I'd recommend you buy a Native Instruments Control S2. The hardware includes the Traktor software, and you're ready to mix for below 500€. Later you can expand to one or two Control X1 Mk2, and Control F1 for remix sets, if you like. I did that and have so much fun just going loco on the setup. If you want to stay below 200€, just buy the Control X1 Mk2, the mixing software Traktor is exactly the same!
could you guys please do a tutorial on getting samples from actual songs! Kinda like what he did with Epic? I'm sure a lot of us would benefit greatly from that!
yo mate, well done workflow, i follow the same. i got a question about your Hardware config from the MASCHINE Pads, they are on Linear and full Sensitivity or another setting?
@Bass kleph, is there already a video for showing how side chaining has to be done ? is it even possible to sidechain in maschine ,... ? or only trough ableton? brouwerz ,
no offense ean but ive been waiting for my midi fighter for a week and i purchased the fastest shipping for just about an extra 30 dollars im just wondering what your doing over there
hey man, do you know where he gets the sounds? or does he cut the song up into parts ? I tried to cut up epic on Fruit loop but it takes a fair bit of time and sounds pretty much like shit, any advise you could give me would be freaking amazing
Wrong! He's actually using the MK1! Look at the three nobs! MK2 has the big round nob instead of the three on the left side. Also the mk2 has different colors of pads and groups.
hey I have a quick question, what would be some good controllers to start with, and be granted I need something affordable, im a student, and work a min wage job, so any insight I would greatly appreciate it. I have about $1000 to start out.
This guy just sold me a Maschine.

INSANE
Sounds like a reverb/delay and and high pass filter. the knob controls the dry/wet of the reverb/delay and the frequency of the high pass :)
seems like a really nice guy, cool interview.

That's his live remix of Epic by Sandro Silva & Quintino
I just bought his masterclass course 😝
Awesome
Like he said, chopping the original song, and adding his own reverb to make the sounds play out a little longer :-)

You're like a magician

Does anyone know if there's a way to assign one chord in 3 different tones to one pad that cycles through the tone after each hit?
