I got to strum it at Giants Stadium when I hit the pit lottery. Naïve me thought I could just put my hand up and touch the strings at will when he came to the edge and presented it. I forgot that there'd be a crush of people behind me reaching over my head and pushing me down. Did manage to get my hand on the strings, would not call it strumming. Don't know if same one, the original is locked away, I think he has had made a number of look-alikes.

@@whatabouttheearth Kurt Cobain did not own a lead belly guitar. However, the most valuable guitar ever sold is the one he played at Nirvana’s MTV unplugged, it sold for $6 million dollars. Previous record was David Gilmour’s black strat ($4m).

I have so much respect for Bruce. He has proved his credentials, his mutual respect/admiration for his peers, and (trivia: he is my dad's age) ... he is looking healthy and mentioned early in the interview the "balance" between being IN the music industry and surviving it. IMO ... he is the opposite of the decadence/rack-and-ruin of rock and roll, more like the fully rehabilitated Australian Jimmy Barnes. $0.02

My city has less than 300,000 habitants .
Yet he has played here 3 times.
So if he has been here 3 times. With that guitar. I can perfectly believe that guitar has been in all of the world !

I own two Telecasters: a 2005 American Highway One Tele with a C-neck and rosewood fretboard, and a Custom Shop Tele with a channel bound neck. Both are easily the best necks I’ve ever played.
I also love the body style. Both my Telecasters have alder bodies, and are the same weight, so I am very comfortable with them.
Then there’s the tone. My Highway One Tele has a really unique tone since it has a high output pickup in the bridge. The Custom Shop Tele has a really nice full tone thanks to the Humbucker in the Neck position, but still maintains that classic sound with the bridge single coil.
I swear that the Telecaster is probably the most versatile guitar ever made. Between the standard pickups, Nashville with the Strat Middle Pickup, or the custom and deluxe models with different combinations with humbuckers, the Telecaster really can achieve pretty much any tone you want.

As long as Rock'n'roll Lives - We will never REALLY Get Old. That's the BEST answer that I can offer. DO what I Did - Play it for Your children & Grandchildren, so that THEY can Do the SAME, & keep the Music WE'VE loved all our lives Alive & encourage Growth in the R'n'R That is to come.

Correct if I am wrong, but the only changes Bruce made to that guitar were a couple of pick guard changes. Check thr pick guard out in pictures during the Born To Run tour. There is a picture on the guard itself.

Back when Jimmy Buffett's first record came out a buddy and I drove to Key West. Just for fun we found a phone book in a phone booth (both were common then), looked up his address, found his house, hoping to smoke a doobie with him. Sadly, no-one home.
