Isn't it necessary that Surya Kumar has to put atleast one of his foot inside the boundary line before taking the catch?? Hadn't the law revised after Mathews controversy?????

Not. His shoe was rubbing the ground during running and grass and bit of soil plugged off (normal in running at that speed). It's frictional force and grass comes off which creat condition. Watch it many times my friend. His feet was mm behind.
If you look closely in slow motion, you can see that the moment he was throwing the ball in the air, there was a bit of contact, and the rope was moving downwards. This means his foot touched the boundary line, so that should have been a six. The umpire should have looked at that more closely. That’s a SIX! 💯

Bro we know the initial position of the rope in the axar 24 runs over first ball went straight for four in replay you can clearly see the position of boundary was on the actual place it was moved back some where between 16 to 20 over and good part is that it was done intentionally because between 16 to 20 over there wasn't a single shot which went to straight so how can paper bordings could be moved from their actual position unintentionally sad for south Africa because third vampire didn't have a time to check that for more than 5 seconds I don't know why they was in hurry
Icc should come clear with the boundary thing whether it was there at the start of the match bcoz i highly doubt that nobody would notice if boundary was pulled back IN MIDDLE of match
Agreed
I guess u are watching this as your first match friends. Sorry, but I must say you both are stupid and this guy who made a video when he start talking about the white line, i can say surely that he didn't watch matches closely or with its full attention because in my whole life time, whenever I watch Cricket match, many a times I have seen this white line sometimes behind the boundary, sometimes ahead of the boundary, because the ground dimension of any particular side sometimes changes before the match is going to happen. The question u should have asked that whether Indian players have manipulated the boundary lines or not, not like Whether white line will be considered as boundary or not because it is not.

No controversy at all. Un-necessary video. The moment catch was taken, all knew it was a fair catch and those who had doubts, umpire removed that by upholding the catch. I have not seen the video, but reacting to the thumb nail. Your credibility will go if you want to attract viewership through such tactics

He is trying to say the law and he said he don't know if that was the initial boundary line for the match or not see the video properly man
The problem here is not whether the foot touched the line or not. Where did the leg last touch before taking the catch? According to the new law, it is 6 because Surya put his leg outside the boundary line and complete the catch while he was in the air. This is a matter about the 3rd umpire, who is not aware of the new cricket rules.
Nope the law says that the boundary counts from the position of the rope at the time the of the delivery, once it delivered it can't be called illegal.
Is it? Guess its not
@@vanchi_._ Yes, it is. This has already been discussed by a prime-time sports news channel with reference to the ICC clauses. The only issue is that the 3rd Umpire could have taken another close look at the boundary rope to determine whether his foot was touching it or if it was the air that caused a slight movement of the boundary.
@@vanchi_._According to ICC Law 19.3.1, the boundary is considered to be in its original position, even if the boundary rope is misplaced. If the boundary rope was indeed misplaced before the delivery and Yadav did not touch the correctly positioned boundary, it should not be considered a six. However, if the rope was displaced during the play and touched by Yadav while catching, the catch could be deemed invalid, awarding six runs to the batsman. This situation emphasizes the importance of ensuring the boundary markers are correctly positioned before play.
Fair catch he.. Jo sawal utha rahe hen .. unhe bolo Kushal mendis ka catch dekhe jo Immam Ulhaq ne lia tha Hydrabad me WC 2023. Boundary rope agar line se kheesak jaye to uskelie koi responsible nei he boundary roap ko hi consider kia jayega na ki line ko. Ye rule he icc ke.

He did right? It was a perfect catch, except this controversy
@@vanchi_._controversy is created, and again there is no, i repeat there was no evidence which showed that foot touched the rope, and with camera thing, it happens like even if foot is behind but as it showing ropes along with it, it is easily culminate to his feet touching the rope. But again till he catches, then releases and then finally take it, these 3 phases, are evident that he was out. Also, here remembering the rules or forgetting the rules didn't apply. that boundary shifted out side while indian batting while nortje trying to save vk straight drive 4
the catch is clean since boundary did not move at all and as per icc guidelines it was a clean catch,,,,,
The boundary was 10-20 cms behind the initial position and that was the concern
@@vanchi_._it is umpire responsibility to check whether the boundary line has moved or not…sky caught the ball clean and as per icc rules it was out
TBH it was not Surya's fault because the boundary rope was already pushed back earlier. ICC should make a solid rule for a situation like this.
The rule is there and yes it was not Surya's fault!
The rope was mangled when Nortje dived to save a Kohli straight drive which went for 4
If true, then its nice. And we cant complain anyone on this too, its a part and parcel of game
I think there is no need of such controversy because ultimately that was the decision of umpire
See the Straight drive of Virat, 1st over
The South african Player Dived very hard to save four runs, It got Displaced right then.
Even if it got Displaced, By margin of What?

His foot was clearly out of white boundary line
Third Umpire did not showed that video or he already new if he show that video he has to give him Not out
Just don't know what's going
on I thing ICC giving too much favour to India in this tournament
Being a world cup final they shouldn't have give the decision so soon. Atleast they should have double checked it. It was very clear that the rope was moving when he was about to release the ball to air
Happy for India sad for rsa
Can you just forget about this and savour this special moment achieve by our team Wohooo India
Exactly!
There is no point building a controversy over one that doesn't exist. It was a clear and complete catch with no part of his feet touching the Toblerone. There is certainly no need to go to this length and create a new scenario. It only sends the wrong message to over zeaalous analysts. It was a well-fought result.
The media's point was the boundary rope not in its initial position
Please see the video properly he was talking about the initial point of boundary rope
@roshundhanaraj Doesn't matter. This discussion is irrelevant and not warranted, considering that nobody ever checks if a toblerone has moved within the game by a few centimeters or inches. Where it is located at that point of time is the precise boundary. Hope you don't bring an allegation that it was moved by Surya ahead of the catch...that is outright premonition?
It doesn't matter. The team wins is the best team----pat cummins aftér aus vs pak 2nd test match melbourne

Rope looks it's stretched
This boundaries were displayed during India 's batting time. So can't do anything about it after match. Because so many south African fielders also put have their feet to save runs so entire match result would be under the suspect.😂😂
Absolutely, that's the point. No one can help. Have to move on...
The boundary rope is moved - that’s for sure
Dp world bord and green wala bord thoda hila ae six hai confirm icc thrid umpire mistake not properly check boundry this not fair for South Africa team
Nope baby. Don't trust the leaked vedio from black African. His feet was milimeter behind. It's the grass which moves. This ground is like MAT of GRASS. If you watch in another angle at high quality zoom, his shoe didnot touched the blue cloth. It's when his shoe slides on the soil the grass uprooted a bit for force and that grass touches the blue rope. Bit frictional force and grass uprooted a bit which touches the rope but his feet. It's milimeter away. Thank you.
TBH that didn't bother at all, the 2nd point I mentioned in the valid. We have to respect that from them.
@@vanchi_._ Yes I rechecked it on hotstar highlights. It was a six because the rope was pushed back

The law states that if the rope was moved during play then only its a six, but there is no where in the play where players have moved it , if it's there before the play it doesn't even matter . It's a close call but there was no conclusive evidence that he touched the rope , so just ignore the kanglu and porki sore losers. What about Rohit Sharma's out in WC Final did Umpire apologize to him? This is a game so take it as a game.
Bro first of all he never touched the rope. In circulated video it was taken from an angle where the grass motion with a background of foam make it look like the foam moved. In reality he was like good 8" away from boundary. I have confirmed from other view. Secondly the rope movement rule is I think for situation when rope moved in an attempted stop.
The point - I am also not aligned bro. The umpire felt it didnt touch and thus the decision. 2nd point is what the media highlights
@@vanchi_._ It's not "the umpire didn't felt" He really haven't touched the rope. I have a video proof of that. Some of the SA fans circulated a video in which grass coming off the foot created an illusion that his foot went below the rope. Which didn't happened.
2nd point is irrelevant until someone proves the boundry was moved in between the game. Even if it was moved the rule says it shall be brought into original place "whenever possible" if it was not brought I will assume it was not possible. The rule also says if white like us not marked the edge of the object marker near to pitch will be boundry. Considering these 2 point the rope were legal boundry.
Anyway, even if boundry was 6 inch inside SKY would have taken the catch. He used whatever space was avaliable. If there was a little less he would have adjusted too.
I have watched multiple matches in which ropes are displaced
True that, but the point is, no one knows when it was displacedd.
@@vanchi_._ only a wicked and non sporting mind can think like that
What do u mean by Who/when displaced it ?? .
