@@TsuneYThi I just followed your tutorial for reading log in notion first thanks for this helpful video. Amazing job. Small concern, on a main dashboard page in current reading section its suppose to show only current reading book but instead for me it showing all of the books that I added in my read log page. Can you help me fix this issue

Im trying it now and it removes some " and ( ) when I copy paste it in, it doesnt work! Help 😭

Love this and can't wait to start these for both me and my daughter for homeschooling... I wonder though, do you happen to know how to create a tracker for movies & tv series? All the ones I see are a little too technical for me to understand. I'm looking for how to keep track of the Season & Episode I'm on and maybe a season tracker for how many episodes left? I may not be making sense or over thinking it and making it much harder than it should be. LOL

I think you mean it's in cursive, try that
I did fine following along and copying everything into my own until I got to adding the Reading Goal. For some reason, when I mark a book as finished in the reading log it won't update in the Goal tracker at all. I've paused the video practically second by second to see if I missed anything and I am 100% sure I did it all exactly like you show. Any idea what I might have missed? So frustrating. :(
I changed the formulation on Window 11 and it work!

Is it possible to make the categories database book count go up ONLY if you finished a book?
The template is beautiful, just leave it like this 🤡 for not reading "free template" and since I don't speak English (I'm using a translator) I went to the link and since I didn't understand what it said I thought I was selling it and then I literally started following the video as a tutorial and when the last thing I was missing was the hearts bar (which I left for last) and since the code didn't work I came back here in the hope of finding the code to copy and paste and I go back to the link to look for the code and there I see that it could be downloaded for free 😭
But hey, at least now I understand better how notion works.😸

After seeing your template i wanted to use it in my notion account but after i downloaded, i noticed that at the beginning in the part called "navigation" i couldn't find "reading log, reading log tracker and categories and genres". it is something normal or it is a problem i have? :)
I just downloaded and I have the same problem :( such a pity because i love this template so much (i think it's something that can be easily fixed but i'm learning right now how to use notion and this video was so helpful)

After I putting : finished, and add to Goal. the percentage is not change. Actual is still show 0. try many types, but didnot find the wrong place

Yep all you have to do is upload a png pictures (pics with transparent backgrounds) :)

In 3:15, the property Actual shows me as a rollup instead of a #. Need help please.
the progress one for the reading goal tracker will not work for me. It won't let me do the thing that says prop and it says that even though the book I am reading is in progress it says if is completed. does any body have anything that might help?

Is there a version of the formulas that is updated to the new Notion formula language?
Change the two instances of slice to substring
If this helps anyone: I was struggling with the progress bar formula, and realized I didn't have the zeros populating in the "Percentage Complete" column. So, I had to adjust that formula a bit until I got the zeros to populate. Then the heart emojis in the progress bar populated for me. Hope this helps.

I won’t be able to help without seeing your formula unfortunately but I would try checking if there’s correct number of brackets / checking if the right property is selected! Sometime I need a comma and it’s all 🙉, takes a few tries!

the book count doesnt show even if i edited my reading log and input the genres/categories :'> for people who bought the template, does it work for you or am i just doo doo at following instructions? T0T
Hey! It sounds like there might be a hiccup with the categories. Have you made sure the categories have been created in the categories table? That might be the key to getting the book count to show up. Hope that helps!
@@TsuneYT oooh i have! and i phrased it wrong T0T my problem isnt that the counter doesnt show up, its actually that the book counter for the categories doesnt update. like, i tried putting three books under fiction and two under biography but the counter still doesnt update :0 I'll try rewatching your video again and try to see where i kinda fell off :'> thanks for responding!
