  • Use loop yarn patterns and learn how to make a loop yarn scarf. This one uses the seed stitch, which is a combination of alternating knit and purl stitches. The result is a really pretty texture and a nice, soft scarf.

Oh my gosh, this is so much fun!! I'm loop-knitting along some Christmas presents and it's so satisfying and motivating to see the scarf come to life so quickly 😊😊
Regarding your kids' loop yarn scarf curling in, I would suggest alternating knit stitch and purl stitch, but doing an even number loop row, always doing a knit stitch in the first and last stitch of each row (even if the previous stitch was a knit stitch as well), but not alternating the stitch type in the following row as on this scarf - instead, always do a knit stitch on top of a knit stitch and always do a purl stitch on top of a purl stitch. It won't curl in and will look beautiful from both sides 😊
Thank you for this tutorial, I love the final effect!

I am trying to do my first blanket out of the loop yarns. I have 70 stitches that I am working with. The sides are still rolling in on itself. How do I stop this

How long did it take you to make it?

Ooh, I'm not sure. I did it all in one sitting to make the video, so I want to say it wasn't too long. Maybe an hour or two. Once you get used it doing it, you can get going pretty quickly.
