    Super-Glide is somewhat pliable and forms itself over time by gravity to the surface it is laid on. Super-Glide Skate Enhancer is applied more in the beginning, then it depends on the individual skater. We have seen rinks that have been used for a few years go three months without application and still did not need any. The average after the three day break-in period would be a little once a week in the main skating area for the first two months then as needed.

    Expansion is based on size of rink and environmental conditions present, rink operators are consulted about their specific rates according to their climate.

    @namdlefhtes The Super-Glide rinks that have been outside in Northern climates (N.Y. State, New Hampshire, Canada) since 2003 are still considered in like new condition since after the first three days the surface looks the same for the rest of its life. The Canadians did tests and concluded Super-Glide’s life span at 40+ years with hockey and public skating every day.

    @govikes7 Yes. Ice skates have been used on Super-Glide since 2000,

    Super-Glide is placed on a hard, flat, smooth surface for best results. Concrete, asphalt, tennis courts are good surfaces for a sub-floor. You have to call 305-218-2966 for current pricing.

    The whole surface never needs to be completely covered with Skate Enhancer, the blades do all the work spreading the solution. Used correctly the skater should never know a skate enhancer has been added.

    We assume you mean stop, and yes just like ice. On many Super-Glide videos players are stopping just as if they were on real ice.

    We have goalie training centers operating since 2004 training high level (Collage - Pro’s) goalie’s. Ice rinks don’t offer enough time for private goalie training, Super-Glide gives goalies the time they need to become the best. See our goalie training videos and International goal tending competitions. Please see CZcams video :Global Synthetic Ice - Super-Glide Synthetic Ice - DEVELOPING THE ULTIMATE SKATER - Part 3

    So you can actually wear skates on this? Cool. How well does it work for goalie's and their skates?

    Is it ok to be left out when it rains and snows??

    • @GlobalSyntheticIce
      @GlobalSyntheticIce  Před 9 lety +1

      Yes, many Super-Glide rinks are outdoors. Neither the rain nor snow hurts the surface. Actually the rain helps clean it.
