    Can't believe you left out one of the most important aspects of the Pro. It IS the only plate in that series that has the adjustable pivot pins. When you change cushions, many times you need to adjust the pivot pin height, or you'll wear out the cup and/or possibly break the pin or king pin

    Did the rival plate get discontinued? I've had mine since 2015.

      It did and was replaced by the Neo! It doesn't feel quite the same since the kingpin angle is different though.

    Would you recommend the reactor fuse for rampskating ? 🤔

      The Fuse would be fine for a beginner or casual carver but as you advance to intermediate tricks like stalls and grinds, you'll appreciate the strength and rigidity of an alloy plate.

    Is the fuse any good for dance skating?

    • @DLinton
      @DLinton Před 3 lety

      From what I heard from other people, a higher kingpin angle helps a plate feel better for dancing these are all 10°.

    I’ve been skating on these plates (reactor neo) for about 6 months now and dislike them, mainly because the kingpin angle doesn’t allow much turning radius. My
    Other set of skates is the stock riedell thrust plate and it turns way better than the reactors. I’ve switched out the cushions on my reactors twice from the stock ones, currently using 78A and still can’t get enough lean on the trucks to make turns without wheel hop. Rode them at the skatepark last week and the rear truck popped out. I’d recommend sure grip avengers or avantis over these.

      Are the reactor neo good for jam skating?

    • @morenabonita8834
      @morenabonita8834 Před 3 lety +5

      Kingpin is 10 degrees. Lower the number the less it responds to turns.

  • @tlfanatics2917
    @tlfanatics2917 Před rokem

    The kingpins are not strong and durable and are prone to breaking. There is a replacement out, but there is no click nut and washer available for it.

    Make sure to mention that it’s impossible to get Purple (firm cushions) from anyone anywhere. Which diminishes the usefulness of the Reactor to the point of staying in the closet. I bought sire grip Reds to try and no bueno Amigo. They are truly “the suck”.
    Why stop making the firm cushion? Makes no sense and I credibly irritating.!!
