Thats the same watch I wear. At first I was a bit worried using it for work. I work in the RF engineering field and always bumping into things and smacking the watch. It really takes a beating and still looks like the day I took it out of its metal tin! Love that watch!
I've had this timepiece for 15 months now and it's a beast of a watch:) chunky rugged and i feel like nothing can this this thing while am wearing it's so powerfully built and protected I never use the multitude of features it has the sunrise feature which pretty cool which some of the new and more expensive g shocks don't even have makes this mudmaster a no brainercfor my collection
I calibrate the compass everytime the location changes on the hands. for example it calibrates in the 3rd hour hand until 5am and then the calibration hand moves from the the 3rd hour hand to the 8th hour hand. after 9am it switches to the 9th hour hand and I believe after 10am it moves to the 2nd hour hand. If you want more accurate readouts inbetween those times you can use 2 point calibration. for example a lateral readout at odd hours instead of finding a single bearing during those odd times.
According to Casio it's a "Mission Log" not a "Mission plan". The watch does have a feature to save your current location and return to it, such as your car at a trailhead for example.
I took advantage of Macy’s friends and family(25%) discount this month. I used the discount to order the gwg2000 also. The gwg1000 was sitting behind the counter. Should I keep both or return one?? Ugh
I have try many straps on gshocks but it just turn out unbalance for a strap usually looks too thin while the watch case is much bigger. For that I am wearing a MTG bracelet version. But I found out I can't read the time on analog watch after many years with digital watch and smart phone🤣.
I didn’t find that model to have a very comfortable fit. The large button dug into my wrist. I found the mudmaster gwg1000 to feel and fit a 100% better. Even though it’s larger in diameter, the gwg1000 is a more comfortable fit.
Hi Mate, can you please give us the link where you got those strap adapters and olive drab straps? Much appreciated love your video... I got it! Thanks...
Of course my friend. Here is the link to the adapters I got from EBay. www.ebay.com/itm/274458610944?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=lr99L6SOTBK&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=nCwUKkXfT7K&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY. And here is the link to the band from Amazon. BARTON Canvas Quick Release Watch Band Straps - Choose Color & Width - 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, 22mm, 23mm, or 24mm www.amazon.com/dp/B08HR8SSWM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_3NB48AJPFME64KV875ZT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Couple of things. I see your replacement band appears to be a Barton 'cotton canvas'. I strongly recommend those, they are soft and breathe well, and you can literally clean them in the washer with your clothes.
Other reviews are no where near as thorough! Thank you, I now feel informed enough to make this purchase.
Planes trains & automobiles........ good stuff
I love that idea where can I buy the adapters for the new wrist strap
Planes Trains & Automobiles! Great review.
Great video. Can you possibly tell which band adapters you used on new band thanks

Great review. Could you please tell me where you got the strap adaptors? And how are they holding up so far? Thanks
Please Share the link of the bands and connector as well.

What is the model specific of this watch in color green band
Can you please send the link of the straps?

So presumably you could add a NATO strap instead I wonder if they do one in 24? CIVOPS where did you buy the adapters?
can you please share the link for that.
I'd be interest to know how to plot my next waypoint, i've had the watch for a couple of years and i've never seen that feature.
hope this helps

@@rexmabunga ah not that I meant, this is a track back feature takes you BACK to a location, not to a next waypoint. Thanks you though
"And a Casio" comes from the movie Trains Planes and Automóviles.
Ive always hated gshocks but this on a nato is my favorite snowboarding/mountaineering tool
