  • In this video I do a comprehensive break down of the factory dillon precision vs the new double alpha academy case feeder plate.
I test 100 cases with each plate and time them accordingly with their own modifications or equipment.
    Dillon Precision: 1min 20sec Average
    Double Alpha Academy: 35sec

Holy crap I knew it was faster but not almost 3 times faster!! I'm glad I grabbed a few right when they came out

Ya I was kind of blown away with how fast it was as well. I just whish I had a stronger motor with more torque.

I like the Garand Thumb reference. 😂 Solid comparison Nico and good editing and video work.

Thank you, I try to get a little better each time. But its hard when I go so long in between videos. Used nothing more then my cell phone, my shooting tripod, and a milwuakee shop light. LMFAO

@@Blazinm3 you got to start somewhere Brøthèr. Cell phones have gone a long way with quality camera and editing.

@NaterTater Outdoors absolutely! Might invest in some better helpfully tools to compliment the existing system.

Other than cramming 2 minutes of information into a 10 minute video... Interesting result!

Best upgrade for your Dillon case feeder. Lost me at the music.

so exactly how fast are you able to reload? im guessing the factory plate is fine.

So theres also a way to modify the wiring on the case feeder to improve speed. I've used the double action plate for thousands of rounds its super fast and I personally haven't had a jam.

Looks like the DAA runs with less jams than Dillon (once properly set up). Note: all of the case feeders stop feeding/filling well once there are less than 20 or so cases. That part of your test is not relevant. PRACTICALLY, I can not outrun the casefeeder with Dillon plate on my 650, even with motor (old two-speed) set to low. I have found the speed adjust is more a matter of reliable feeding with different case sizes, not how fast it will spit out oriented cases. The DAA looks snazzy and looks "different" but from my perspective does not have any effect on my overall loading rate. Maybe with the power drive systems and bullet feeder it would, but my volume of loading doesn't warrant that additional cost.

Absolutely, for most of us just loading with a hand crank we can't outrun the factory unit. But a decapper/automated press/ or rollsizer definitely can. Thanks for the info.

In 2022 there are much better options than the dillon
You're still gonna have all the other issues with the dillon
We are getting ready to release our new case feeder a 20" and 24" for hobbiest guys and for our Industrial users we have a 36"
