    That's awesome man! Ive seen many people do this, but, never really understood it until you just pointed out that it's one central point. Now i think ill give it a shot. You sure have a unique and one-off way of explaining skating moves. It makes understanding them so much easier!

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  Před 4 lety +4

      I’m glad it helps! I know for myself, when I’m learning new things that I’m not familiar with, I gravitate toward information that is broken down so that I can see the fine details individually. Once I understand them on their own, I can combine them all to see the bigger picture. So that’s the approach I try to use here. I’ve found that each time I challenge myself to make a tutorial, I end up understanding the move better than before, because teaching it forces me to question my own understanding and fix ideas I may have been wrong about.

    I've been trying to get this spin in my dictionary but I loose almost all momentum once I get into the corkscrew position/shape. Is it that my wheels are fat? (I'm running 62x40 wheels) Is it because I'm on sidewalk concrete?

    @DeezSkates How do you "push" to start the spin? Do you push out with the outside foot?

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  Před 4 lety

      That’s a good question, but difficult to answer in text.. I would say the best thing is to lightly swing your arms at first. If you look closely, while I’m doing the toe spin I talk about in the beginning I am pushing into the back inside edge of the circling foot. For a normal two foot spin without the cork screw, you would pump by pushing the the back inside edge of the foot that travels forward, and the front inside edge of the foot that travels backward. I hope that helps.

    Could u do another wheel video? Not the high price wheels though. One for indoor wheels. I usually skate outdoor wheels. Moxi outdoor 62mm wheels, 57mmpink frost outdoor wheels, 57mm radar energy wheels (my fav),57mm fundae hybrids, and 62mm luminous wheels. I skate outside in spring and summer everyday, but i also skate rinks 1-4 times a week. I broke my wrist last feb so i took it easy and am hesitant getting into skating. I finally started to get brave enough to try indoor wheels. I bought some suregrip velvet wheels. Dont know the hardness. I tried them at a nasty rink floor. They werent any faster than my various outdoor wheels. They are vanathane wheels. My goal is to jb skate with mostly rhythm skate. These floors at the rinks i skate are filthy.
    1. Should i just go for the "fomac slicks " i was looking at?
    2. Could u give me advice on how loose my wheels and my trucks and which trucks should be loose without breaking my neck? Please do a video on loosening and how much. There are no videos about it

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  Před 4 lety

      I may cover this topic eventually. Ultimately the answer to all these issues comes down to personal preference. Your current ability and the style you as a skater are developing play a big roll in what kind of wheels you need for which surfaces, whether indoor or outdoor. Also, the same goes for trucks and cushions, but I could do an episode on how energy transfers through the skate parts to the floor and that may help people to decide how they want to proceed with their builds. 🤔
      I’m packing up my things to move currently, but I will be making new episodes starting end of the month. I’ll put some of this in my list of things to talk about.

    Hey David I was wondering if you heatmolded your hardcore evos I recently bought a pair of taus and I’m not sure weather or not I should heatmold

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  Před 4 lety

      I did heat mold the Evos, but I think I remember reading that the Tau is not heat moldable. I would email Powerslide directly to make sure before doing it.

    • @mylesjohnson7351
      @mylesjohnson7351 Před 4 lety

      Deez Skates the new ones are heat moldable that’s one of the only new features besides the colors and they actually come with spinner wheels instead of the undercover wheels that come on the other ones and the evo

    • @DeezSkates
      @DeezSkates  Před 4 lety +1

      In that case, heat molding decreases the break-in time. I don’t feel it’s absolutely required, but if you have any spaces in the boot you wish were maybe a little more comfortable it will definitely help.

      Years ago I bought a pair of VNLA Grape Ades, which are the same build as the Mint and Code Red, just a different color scheme. I didn’t care for them. If I remember correctly, the trucks are single action so the adjustments they allow for is very little.. and they’re rather cheaply made.
