The Universe Proves That God Exists - Meet the Catechism

Can we know that God exists, or do we just have to force ourselves to believe it, with no evidence? The whole Catholic intellectual tradition, from St. Paul to St. Thomas Aquinas to the thinkers of our own day, has always held that we can know God exists by reasoning logically from what we observe and experience in the universe. But how can we be so sure, and what evidence is there for this claim?
