    I replaced the stock throttle body on my 2016 V6, with 2016 V8 GTthrottle. It did not work properly. Thanks to advise from Auto Mafia, found out I needed a 2011 - 2014 V8 GT throttle body.
    After putting the 2011 - 2014 V8 throttle body on my 2016 V6, worked perfectly. Hope this helps someone out there.

    Kinda late now but DBC throttle body from a Crown Victoria also works. I believe that they're the same part number and I know that they work since I put a Vic throttle body on my old 2003 GT.

    • @T-MillProductions
      @T-MillProductions  Před rokem

      Yes any 2v throttle body will work, you will need to open the blade a little bit and block off the top opening on the intake manifold where the throttle body bolts too. But after you do that you’ll be good!

    Have you checked the quality of the AM 65mm 3.8 vs the gt throttle? I’m all for junk find and savings but I didn’t know if anyone could chime in? I’ve got a crate 3.8 and I want a subtle upgrade so I’m on to the TB. Didn’t know if it was simpler to get the gt, or is the AM completely compatible without any cable swaps etc?

    • @T-MillProductions
      @T-MillProductions  Před rokem +1

      I did look into it at first but I didn’t wanna spend much money into it because I eventually plan to do the Eaton m112 swap and I already had the gt throttle body. Both are good options but if you have a brand new crate engine I would almost say buy a new one for a 3.8 and call it a day.

      Honestly your best bet is to do gears in the rear end. My personal advice is save up for a 8.8 from a gt or Mach 1 and put 4.10s or 3.73s in it and swap that in. You will feel a night and day difference. You will also need a bama tuner to correct the speedometer but it’s good because you can get a free tune right away too from bama included in the price of the tuner

    • @T-MillProductions
      @T-MillProductions  Před rokem +2

      If you look at how the cables attach to the throttle bodies they have different ends on them so the stock v6 one won’t attach to the gt one. Also 1 thing I need to update in here is the v6 used part of the intake for the iac, the top of the v6 throttle body is where it matches to it, I used jb quik weld the putty and covered the opening and then I opened the gt throttle blade just a hair more when it was in the car to adjust the idle. If you don’t block off the iac port on the intake manifold it’s gonna idle very high and run like crap. I plan to make a video on it soon
