    Was considering purchasing one of these as a gift for a coworker, and this video taught me everything I needed to know! Thank you, my friend. God bless.

    Out of my kershaw blur, classic buck knife, modern buck knife, crkt thero and the kershaw leek.. ill take the leek all day. The safety is an awesome touch, the spring assist is quick and never opens in my pocket by accident whereas the blur did a few times and i quite enjoy the slightly smaller size of it

    That was a great breakdown. Particularly the discussion of the lock and deep carry constraint. I also appreciated the discussion on tip vulnerability of the leek blade shape. But most of all, you spoke well from your experience as a carrier of the knife. I'm not a collector, I'm looking for a tool. There are many reviews that are probably by collectors that just don't suite someone like me looking to perfect their EDC. Thank you.

    Love the Leek...I have a nice collection of them to include both versions of the Magnacut. I carry several knives every day for EDC and the magnucut is my lightduty user. For what I do during the day, the Leek fits the bill perfectly. Never need to sharpen it, just strop it every once in awhile. Takes up zero pocket space....

    Having the safety-tip lock on the Leek is the reason I switched from my Spyderco to the Leek. I had my Spyderco open up in my pocket once and it gave me a nasty cut on my hand. No more.

    Just got my new leek with the lynchNW titanium deepcarry clip from knifecenter, works perfect, and the safety works just like before

    I like the Kershaw Skyline better, and also made in USA, but they don’t make them anymore. Thankfully mine is still in great condition. I’ll be carrying it today.

    I bought a 1660st model as my first knife back in 2008 I still have to this day, how that tip lasted I’ll never know! The old ones are dated with the month and year.

    It's over pokey that much is certain, I wouldnt turn away a Random Leek if they gave me one for free. Does Onion still make cool stuff outside of Karbon, my Helical was the last one Bass Pro spfd had, the one on display (8cr). Good video keep makin em Isaac

    No real alternative: mostly i dont need the Clip, because ist in my backpockets. The leek is one of the robusts knives i know because of the Steel Body. Take the random leek. If you Need something th scratch or bend than choose a screwdriver.Its flat, and i dont Like the injection molded scrap.

    Us assembled product. Also 80 dollars is not a deal for some 14c28n steel.

    Ok, i dont understand. Ive been a knife guy for 20+ years. Why do people want the knife buried in the pocket? The end of the knife sticking out makes it much easier to grab and deploy. Everyone already knows you have a knife because they can see the clip, its a moot point. Especially if you are someone who takes your knife in and out of the pocket 100 times a day at work.

      It's hard for you to put your hand in your pocket to take things out of your pocket?

    Almost all carriers are right handed, but he objects that left handed carry is not acommodated.... too bad! He is looking for tiny things to complain about ....stop the nonsense and go buy another knife.

    • @springfieldedc
      @springfieldedc  Před 7 měsíci +2

      Doug I own a knife store. I have many knives. The purpose of the video is to review this specific knife. The fact that left handed people can’t operate the knife easily is significant to them. I’m quite literally recommending that left handed people seek out other options.

    • @Jake-bt3fc
      @Jake-bt3fc Před měsícem

      If you make a knife right handed only 90% of people can use it. If it's ambidextrous then 100% of people can use it. It doesn't take a genius to realize increasing sales by 10% overnight is a good business idea.
