    It's also important when you start up every couple of months to load the generator down at least 30% or more of capacity that way it warms up gets up to temperature cooks off the moisture in the oil and keeps everything in the generator head happy. Starting in just idling for a couple of minutes will actually build up a lot of moisture in the oil.
