  • Check out the seeds I bought for my cool-season garden and learn 4 ways to save money on seeds for your own garden so you don't have to spend $300 like I did!
    These seeds are from Baker Creek. This isn't a sponsored post-I just really like their seeds. Some of my other favorite seed sources include Botanical Interests, Johnny's Selected Seeds, High Mowing Seeds, and Southern Exposure Seed Exchange.

    I think you did a good job with buying your seeds! When looking through a seed catalog or on
    lime, it’s like a kid in a candy store for me! I LOVE BAKER CREEK SEEDS!!!!

    Can you do an update now that the season is wrapping up on what you liked/didn't like?

    I just made my list! Btw, you can save a couple/few radishes for saving seed.

      Yes, we have a video on it! My mind was blown when I first saw what the seed pods look like!

      @@Gardenary i have a massive patch of white flowers from a bed of radish that i left from last year for the pollinators since the radish were not tasty- like spicy soap, but they were from micro green seeds i was testing to full growth :P but the flowers are a massive burst for the pollinators that bloom all year now, good times for them. The roots are working their magic in the ground too, as radish do the longer they stay.

    I love your vlog here, your enthusiasm is awesome!! Super cute garden, but you went a bit fast and did not zoom in on the seed packs. :( I got cross eyed lol. But love your vlog!! I'm not trying to be mean by saying that trust me when I say...I would be happy to get my vlog looking as great as yours. I wanted to ask you though...Do you grow huge Kale and Spinach?? If so which ones and how easy are they to get really huge??

    • @Gardenary
      @Gardenary  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Huge kale just takes time. Spinach has a much shorter growing season

    I've been wondering about them considering they don't have a grow guide for areas. I don't mind listening to you but some of the camera views made me sea sick lol

    $300 in seeds and not a single tomato. That should be illegal. Just saying...lol

    Baker creek supports very. right wing politics and they have poor germination 😢 pretty catalog tho

    First, let me say I love your passion. Second, I can see you love colorful flowers and nutrition as well. I'm a fellow garden nut and long time hybridizer. When I saw you didn't have any peppers in your $300 dollar selection I thought perhaps you had an allergy to them. Whatever the case, I can promise you that if you think of your garden plants as art and nutrition as I do, then you might be surprised to know that there are many variegated varieties pepper with both Poblano and Jalapeno genetics which means they are very low heat and very stunning to boot with leaves that range in color from purple, white, and green to white and green and not just different colors on the leaves, but the fruits are also often striped and multicolored as well. If any of that strikes your fancy you may want to try out Bryan Townsends place. He has crazy new stuff that you will not be able to find anywhere else. towns-endchiliandspice.com/search?q=variegated
