First of all, good for you, for taking the time to shoot all these videos.
Second, comments on all the shops you visited: Football Factor, it’s a few blocks away from the hostel where I always stay when in Budapest. I’ve visited this store a dozen times (because that’s how many times I’ve been to Budapest after Covid), and the only shirt I’ve bought was a Man United from around 2010, long-sleeved, with tags, which they had on offer. Sure, they have all the latest shirts, but their prices are way out of my league, way out of my rule of “common sense” as well, when it comes to how much I spend on shirts. Interesting shop, do drop by if you’re in the city, but hold a very small basket, don’t expect to find bargains.
Second shop, at Vaci, been there, had a very nice talk with the same gentleman, mostly about Hungarian football and Budapest clubs, found some amazing pieces, BUT, A) out of the 20 or so shirts I checked out, about one third were visibly fake, so visibly that I didn’t even need to check the codes inside. For me, that’s a massive turn-off. Furthermore, the fake shirts were not separate from the authentic ones, and, very important, they were not priced as fake shirts, they had proper “authentic shirt” prices, which was an even bigger turn-off. Under different circumstances, I would give the gentleman the benefit of the doubt, but given that he is of a certain age, and has endless experience dealing with football shirts, I can only assume that he knows what he sells, he knows that part of his merchandise is consisted of fake products. B) The place is so small, so-so incredibly small, that even if you ignore the fake shirts and focus on the “jewels” he DOES have, it’s super uncomfortable to do any on-site research, to make sure that the shirt that has caught your attention and costs anything from 50 to 150 euros is indeed authentic. It’s super uncomfortable doing that, while having the shop owner half a meter away from you. Again, people, if you find yourself in Budapest, do drop by, it’s on the main tourist street, pedestrianized, pleasant to walk around, you’ll find some incredible pieces, but think (and check) twice before buying anything. Also, the gentleman buys shirts as well, but my own experience says that he offers peanuts, even for authentic shirts with tags on, shirts of some of the most popular clubs.
Third shop, glad to see that it’s FINALLY open to potential clients. Way after Covid, even when the very last shop in Budapest had reopened and let people in without mask, THIS shop insisted on working only online. I was literally turned down twice at the door, the shop owner told me I had to go to their website, and return to the shop only to pick the chosen shirt up. ONCE I managed to go through several shirts, because the owner was not there, a simple employee was there, and he let me go through. My main memory is that the prices were steep. I wouldn’t call them a “theft”, definitely not “outrageous”, but… a bargain? Not even close. Goes without saying, have never bought anything from there.
Humana(s) (there are some shops, it’s not just one): over my dozen trips to Budapest the last two and a half years, I must have bought… a hundred(?) shirts, all authentic, I only collect authentic, I’m very strict regarding what I add to the collection, I have probably walked away from some jewels simply because I was not 100% sure they were the real thing. Having written that, out of those 100 shirts, at Humana locations I must have bought… less than five. I HAVE found dozens of football items, jackets, pants, this, that, just very-very few authentic shirts, and shirts is the only thing I collect, so…
So, where have I bought the other 95-so shirts in Budapest? Acting quite selfish - I must admit - I’m not really willing to say. I can give you a tip, go check Ellis Platten’s relevant video, a shirt-hunting one, and there you’ll find a really great shop, small one, where I have bought about 20-25 shirts. Important! That shop, has authentic AND fake, BUT, credit to the guy running it, A) he has the fake shirts separate from the authentic ones, B) he prices them accordingly (no more than five euros), and C) if you simply ask “is this authentic or fake?”, he’ll give you an honest answer.
As for where I’ve found the vast majority of the dozens of shirts I’ve bought in Budapest, as previously mentioned, I’m selfish enough to keep the answer to myself. :-) I’m going back to Budapest on December 2, for 25 days, and I cannot wait to go shirt-hunting again!

Derby is the name of the shop because of football rivalry not the team :)
