Vložit
- čas přidán 31. 10. 2020
- Beaver trapping can be challenging for a beginner and starting with the basics is the first step of the process. How to find beaver and where to look for beaver sign is the first step in trapping, and that's why I am making these videos. I hope to help beginner and first time trappers be able to find and locate new areas to trap beaver in. I plan on making a few videos in this series to show all stages of the trapping process from finding the beaver, to how and where to set the traps and how to skin and cook up what you catch. Hopefully this will help someone out in their new adventures, thanks for watching!

Great video, someone said your channel didn't take off, your not doing any more, also what camera are you using. I like your video very much.👍👍👍👍
Great video !!!
Good video bud.. well presented
Awesome video, really good tips!
Thank you!
Subscribed, nice video. And yeah I have no idea what I'm doing with trapping beavers 😂
Thanks! Yeah it’s a learning curve but once you get used to reading the signs of their activity it gets easier. I just set out 9 traps and caught 6 beaver yesterday.
hey bud, i live on a river on manitoulin and we have a constant problem with beavers. this year i'm having issues getting the f'er. he's got a food chache that looks similar to a damn. wondering if i could send you a pic of the area and get your opinion. i took the whole thing apart today hoping that he'll come out this evening to fix it and i can git him! upside is they are delicious. look forward to getting some feedback. nice vid!
They are hard little bastards to catch, I'm fighting with them on two small ponds
What camera and mic are you using
Canon m50 and it’s a lavalier mic, movo wmx -1
Any tips on finding beaver-laden property?
As far as public property the best way I’ve found is google maps satellite view. I look for possible areas and then go explore them for and activity. For private land I’d ask around if any friends have friends that might have a beaver problem on their property. If you have any social media accounts you can always make a post about it too. I always have my best luck on state land though.
@@TheHuntForDinner We can't trap public land in GA unless we apply & get pulled for it. I'm hoping I get another chance this year! As for private, I'll be asking around. Thanks, dude!
That sucks you can’t trap public land. Try and apply every year and maybe you’ll get lucky! I hope you end up finding a spot, trapping is a lot of fun! Good luck!
@@sierrahamilton7232 that is not entirely true. We can trap National Forest in Georgia, which is public land, without applying for it. We cannot trap WMA's in Georgia, some are public land and some are not, without getting permission from DNR.
@@d.b.8447 I had no idea about the NF. Where did you see that?
