- FX's Shogun TV Show has John Blackthorne, the first White Samurai step foot in ancient Japan. His journey from the book his inspired by William Adams - an English pilot who changed the course of Japan forever, serving under the Shogun.
this show is amazing!
Actually the canons weren't important at all in the main battle in 1600. And he never even met Hosokawa Gracia. Which is a good thing because her husband was Hosokawa Tadaoki, a powerful Daimyo who would have personally killed him just for looking at her. Lol
Love the show
It's a shame that Blackthorne's character was nerfed compared with the novel.
Yeah
😮
I wonder are there still decendents of him alive today??

Yasuke disappeared after his liege, oda nobunaga was betrayed, and was wounded and taken prisoner by akechi mitsuhide, who then sent him to a jesuit missionary, where he recovered and disappeared from history.
いない! 弥助もサムライと言っても、信長のボディガードのような役だった。
Ask Hollywood and Netflix. They will gladly redo it with The Blacks, Latinos , and Filipinos.
