Operation Red Lava

At 9am on Wednesday, 25 February, over 100 police and National Crime Agency officers travelled in a 30 vehicle convoy to the Glynmill traveller site in Merthyr Tydfil.
Cannabis was discovered in half of the 24 separate plots in the site.
The facility was capable of producing over a quarter of a million pounds worth of cannabis in a year…
…but it was put out of business in a matter of hours.
It was thanks to information from the public.
