Bringing their best 6 teams for tournaments is fine. It makes la copa more interesting. Now a full merge of both confederations like some people here are suggesting, should be an absolute "hell no!", because most of those teams suck big time, and I want our confederation to continue to be high level. But their best 6 for la copa, I like it! Their best 6 are around the level of our worst 5, so I think it works.

Fusing both federations wouldn't work because there's way too many micronations in Concacaf. But making this format the new standard for Copa America is probably a very good idea. Not only is it more accurate (America includes North America after all) but it'd finally allow for a more consistent tournament. Copa America has been having to resort to guests from other confederations to try to have an interesting tournament format for ages now.

@guillaumegiroux9425 "almost" does not matter in football. Either they won, or they did not. However, it's true that they played well and had a good tournament. But they're still not better than teams like Uruguay or Ecuador. Ecuador had to face Argentina right before Canada, that's why they were kicked out earlier. But objectively speaking, they're better teams than Canada.
In fact, Ecuador ALMOST kicks out Argentina (which Canada couldn't do in 2 chances), but again, an almost does not matter.
They're also not a better team than Colombia or Brazil, which were in a much more challenging bracket in the tournament. So yes, they're at the level of the 5 worse from Conmebol, which is still a good thing.
