Ideas for your ver. of Smash Imperialism:
1) If an ally defeats a main opponent after their main fighter dies, the opponent doesn't lose their entire land
2) Stages themed after the initial state a character represents
3) To avoid turn 1 losses, solo states get some sort of buff so they can avoid losing instantly
4) maybe a choice between attacking or training aquired allies to gain a cpu level up
5) somehow include Hawaii and Alaska
6) bigger empires can recruit fallen allies from the opponents they conquered over the opponent themselves
7) if the series goes on long enough, expand to surrounding countries
Not every idea is a winner but here's what was on the top of my head
Those are pretty good ideas. I might use some of them in a future video but not the next one, since I’m halfway done with it
Might as well add everyone in the game, and go world wide!
Honestly tho, bc of multiple turn swings, I think it should be fair to remove the fighter who has taken their turn from the wheel until all surviving fighters have taken theirs to make things fairer.

@@cardboardgaming101 lmao Yeah. Haven’t played the Altea (Marth) games, but it did play once for me when you met up with certain units who are green (which are on neither side) and recruit them in, I believe one of the GBA games.
The funny part about Marth in FE are the amount of enemy units he recruits to fight against their own nations. He’s committed a lot of far crimes

bowser quickly acquired a strong army and used clever strategies, but he became obsessed with power.
I like that bowser had a character arc, he started by fighting an army at once and conquering land and getting a big army himself which inflated his ego and then he fought inkling and was defeated by his own ego destroying the bridge full circle

Looks like an underrated channel is in our midst. Btw I really like the mechanics here, my suggestion would be a sequel that includes all the characters instead, using a larger map and if someone gets too many allies for a match the more recent ones will be there in place of the older ones.

Jokes aside, I liked the video! If you ever make a sequel, I think these changes would be neat:
1. Place fighters in states that make sense for them-like put Little Mac in New York (since he's from there) and Ice Climbers in Alaska!
2. If an ally is killed in battle, they're out for the rest of the campaign!
3. Expand the map into world countries with every fighter!
Just some fun ways to spice it up, if you like!
I have a few suggestions.
First, I think it makes sense for the winning *team* to take the territory instead of if the team leader is KO'd. This is basically a war, and in a war, you're not just fighting the leader, you're fighting the entire *army.* Plus, the CPUs aren't gonna know who the leader is, they just see enemies and allies.
Second, I think that once a character has moved, they should not be allowed to make another move until everyone else still on the board has made a move. Just seems like a fair play thing to me.
Third, if a character's territory *completely* surrounds unclaimed territory with no other characters inside, they should auto-claim that territory. I mean, there's no reason not to.
As a Chicagoan, seeing Inkling take it all makes me very happy.

Next part (if youre planning on making one), it should be that every ally of a defeated fighter converts into levels. For example, if bowser has 4 allies and he gets defeated ny kirby, bowser becomes level 5 because his allies got converted into levels (bowser would still be on kirbys side)
That’s what I’ll do if there isn’t enough room for all the allies. Each ally I have to cut translates into one level for another one
Of course us Squids and Octos were gonna win, i mean we call em turf wars for a reason!
