  • Reverb while singing, yes please. Reverb while talking, no thanks.
    When leading worship or performing online how do you add some nice reverb to your vocals without sounding like you are talking in a cathedral. I have been using the TC Helicon VoiceTone R1 reverb pedal to add reverb to my livestreams and zoom worship while still being able to turn it off when I am speaking. In this video i'll show you how it works and what it sounds like.

    I've used the TC Helicon acoustic play for a couple years now and love it. It combines mutiple pedals into 1 and cost about 300 bucks new.

    I need this because I listen to thrash metal and of course a lot of old school 80's thrash used reverb for echoey vocals

    @ClosetHymnologist Před 4 lety +2

    Cool. I had wondered how you did that in your live Christmas tutorials. When my church scrambled to get streaming a couple months ago, I started with room mics to try to capture the "natural reverb". But it was more trouble than it was worth. I ended up adding some free VST plugins (compression, EQ and reverb) to the "worship" scene in OBS... now it sounds great... I mean, apart from my mediocre playing and singing. :)

    • @stuff.church
      @stuff.church  Před 4 lety

      Yea, I use some VST reverb in OBS when I don't talk much

    Came for the pedal review, stayed for the voice. Very nice. Reminds me of Mac Powell. You probably get that a lot.

    can this be used with a mic that is also using a cloudlifter by daisy chaining them to an interface, or does it need to be directly between the mic and interface?

    • @stuff.church
      @stuff.church  Před 3 lety +1

      You should be able to put it between the cloudlifter and the interface

    When you had it on 50% level I couldn't really tell the difference between all those settings. Maybe the delay was not enough?

    • @bruceross9521
      @bruceross9521 Před 2 lety

      I agree, delay would enhance any of those settings just that bit more, especially listening and playing with headphone on as I myself do as I am deaf.

    Amazing! I love your reviews, they are so helpful. Will this plug directly into my laptop or do I need an interface? And if I'm playing my background music off my phone, should I plug it directly into the pedal as well? Thank You so much! My stress has been relieved after watching this!

    • @ReawakenHymns
      @ReawakenHymns Před 3 lety

      You would need an audio interface. You should only plug your mic into the pedal, and then turn it off if your start talking

  • @KitingViper

    Someone said that this pedal has phantom power (24 v.) wich is always on, so does it hurt my dynamic microphrone (Shure SM7B) ?

    • @stuff.church
      @stuff.church  Před 2 lety +1

      It should not affect a dynamic mic at all

    I'm looking for a way to mike the live sound of the 7 rank organ in my home (dead acoustics) via 2 channels, add reverb then output through my stereo receivers surround (2) channels. Will this device work?

    • @stuff.church
      @stuff.church  Před 3 lety

      This is only one channel, so it would not be a good option

  • @bryan25cool

    Hi! May I ask if I can also use the reverb on Logic during live performances? Can I go to the lowest latency?

    • @stuff.church
      @stuff.church  Před rokem

      Yes, you could use this in Logic, but the built in reverb plug-ins in Logic would sound better

  • @DonFredricks
    @DonFredricks Před 4 lety +1

    Apparently it has phantom power (+24V) which is always on. That information wasn't especially easy to find.

    • @stuff.church
      @stuff.church  Před 4 lety +1

      Oh shoot, i forgot to mention that. Yea I thought 24v phantom power was a strange choice, but all my condenser mics seemed to be fine with it.

    • @Spicyrice888
      @Spicyrice888 Před 3 lety +1

      Does phantom power need to be on, on audio interface when setting the pedal up? (Dumb question but thought I’d ask anyway)

  • @njumenathan8838
    @njumenathan8838 Před 2 lety

    Can this pedal run through an analog mixer just to control your own reverb on a single channel? If yes, how does that work? Bcs I got a 24 channel analog mixer without reverbs just FX.
    Thanks for helping out.

    • @stuff.church
      @stuff.church  Před 2 lety +2

      Yes it could, you just have to put it in your signal chain for that channel

    awesome review.. I play accordion and use a condensor mic for it, been thinking bout getting this to add some effects to it, do you think this pedal will work and would there be an issue if i need phantom power for both the pedal and mic. thanks

    • @stuff.church

    • @stuff.church
