As a black american, Iâd say niko was lucky he made it out alive. Because here in america, we have places called âsundownâ towns. And thatâs usually where black people donât go to because of them being at risk of coming up missing and dead at the hands of racists of those towns. I understand he thought it was funny to do that in america, but where heâs not from america and doing things like this can get him hurt for real. Especially because many people in america carry guns.
Yes, and you don't just walk onto someone's property like he did. You can get shot that way.
I'm surprised he wasn't threatened or killed tbh but those kind of towns tend to communicate with each other. It's probably because he said he was from BBC and saying why KKK aren't racist, so the police and people who would have normally followed and threatened them weren't called up.
For sure. When I saw him pull up in that hick town to the kkk leaders house, confederate license plate and all, I was getting real nervous for him. He probably doesn't realize that the people in these towns can be legit crazy, and nobody is gonna save him since the cops there aren't gonna help. It's insane how our country can be so modern and yet still so backwards in these rural areas.
That Iâm from the BBC i think is what saved it tbh cause we already know how they roll.
damn that's scary af
I feel like the fact he said he's from the BBC is the only thing that protected him. I would NOT fuck with these towns if I was him
We british people think just because they are british they can go to america and mess around đ€Šđżââïž america is dangerous and they will get killed here people din't play around he might even get shoot by a gun
@@nasamian but the EDL is not gonna have guns, and it isn't likely for him to get stabbed either
hes not actually with the bbc news network. he is a youtuber and its a joke for something else
@@sapzy_ I know heâs not actually with the bbc. I meant that his bbc lie was what protected him.
Itâs not only that. There are a few blacks who infiltrated the KKK and they were fine. It all comes down to your Ora but yes, still very dangerous these people are extremely racist white supremacists.
6:59 Notice how the Korean response is, "How could he say that in front of him?"
I am Korean, and there is no doubt a majority of Asians in general hold similarly racist views. They're just better at hiding it.
The same goes for every ethnic and racial group. Some are more subtle than others.
Come to think of it, that true
@@ANONYMOUS-zy3cd African Americans and Koreans in particular have had a contentious history.
See the LA Riots and Rooftop Koreans.
All that being said, young Koreans have embraced black culture (hip hop in particular) and many black millenials are fans of anime (not Korean, but generally Asian influenced culture).
Wow I didn't even pick up on this.
I agree, but I think Choi said it because he's been in America and he has faced racism. He is aware that most racism in America isn't as direct. Especially when he said he came from living in an area where its not "supposed" to be racist.
@@JIYkp what is rooftop koreans
I'm white but born and raised in the South, and watching his video made me SO nervous. I was so worried for him. those kind of people are so dangerous.
I was so scared that i almost cried.Especially when he was told that black people in america wouldnt live a great life if white people got full power of the nation. That moment was really scary
Im sure you are... white liberials are just as dangerous as the KKK are
@@soulsquad1200 he actually said black people wouldn't live a great life until white people regain control of the country so he thinks they'd be safer if the whole country had his mindset and beliefs...it's mind-blowing to me the way he genuinely believes in that statement
@@PuckDaily did you mysteriously forget when a man was tortured and dragged until his head was severed from his body? Not even 25 years ago.
@@PuckDaily where the hell have you been?
I was paying attention to the subtitles and the part "hesitates in racist" TOOK ME OUT đ
The fact that he was toying with this racist man while containing anger behind his smile, was extremely attractive to me the first time I watched it. Takes a lot to stay grounded and calm when facing ignorance.
hold on girl , u said that was extremely attractive that is an ick
@@aishaomaer3868 Am I meant to find it attractive when people get angry and attack ignorant people? No lol. He handled this with grace and if you find that an âickâ, move on???????????
@@aishaomaer3868 bro what? Remains super calm in these situations even when your in the presence of ignorance IS attractive đ
fr bro is hella intelligent and he doesn't show off about it which makes it even more clear how secure he is about himself.
If you so concern about racism then why did you vote for Biden? KKK was created by the left.
Making him say "Imar Nonce" aka "I'm a nonce" (nonce=pedo in the UK) was the funniest part haha, unfortunately it was never picked up on.
Remember, the United States isnât the only country in the world who has racist/prejudiced people. I am sure this was a surprise to them because South Korea doesnât experience much of this since they are a homogenous country, though I am sure if a person of color were to go to South Korea they may experience some issues like this to a degree maybe not as direct as this guy though but in other ways.
asian ppl may discriminate other races but at least they don't beat or kill other races like American.
Itâs gotta be the most rascist with some Eastern European ones up there too
I was surprised by the racist stories iâve heard from people whoâve travelled to south korea. Usually you look at the good in a country before looking at the bad side but some people donât at all and romanticize other countries. Some countries are open with their racism and others are better at covering it up. Thereâs truly no where in the world where racism and many other issues arenât a problem.
They are very rasict themsleves as theres even signs outside estamblishments that dont allow non koreans in. They just ignore it.
it's actually really direct in SK as well, but people get away with it because it's a homogeneous country.
I am born and raised in Arkansas and have been to the Harrison area a few times. Its a complicated place. Most the hardest racist do live in Zinc, but saying they live in Zinc is like saying all the a**holes in Seoul actually live in Gangnam. As an asian person you don't want to live there. People will treat you differently just shopping at the walmart. You also have to deal with subtle racism and microaggression much more than outright angry racism.
"You also have to deal with subtle racism and microaggression"
Like what? How subtle? Is it so subtle that you may not even notice it?
@@IronFreee maybe they mean subtle racism as in when people stare at you weirdly or when they flinch around you because of your skin colour. Not many people notice this as racism so it could be seen as subtle.
Idk
@@IronFreee In my example, I'm vietnamese. I am very obviously Asian. They didn't call me chink to my face, they came up to me and spent 20-30 minutes talking about how they love sushi now because their daughter married a Chinaman. Dude was from korea, and she kept calling him chinaman. She literally knew the difference because she asked me what ethnicity I was and explained he was korean. "Subtle" racism is more borderline stupidty than it is racism. Other experiences I've had there are, they thought I was mexican and tried speaking spanish to me...when again, I'm very obviously asian, my eyes are very squinty and i'm pale. I do not look hispanic at all. I was also with my family, we really don't look hispanic.
@@TheLilKon As a native/latina, you would not believe the amount of people that have mistaken me for filipino and ask me if iâm âorientalâ in the area i live. apparently itâs a pretty common thing to mistake more native looking people, especially those from the latin region, for asian and vice versa. at that point im not even sure how to feel considering theyâre being racist to a group of people i donât belong to. like should i feel personally offended??? obviously im upset for asian people with the amount of stereotypes that come out of peoples mouths but the mistake is mostly funny to me now lmao
@@IronFreee micro-aggression is not a stupid concept â ïž I've had people be micro-aggressive towards me
I lived in Arkansas my entire life and I can confidently say that he's playing with his life. I'm black and the community knows where we can and can't go and when it's safe to do so. All it takes is one wrong turn and your surrounded by confederate memorabilia and its easy to get lost in the woods if you don't know the area. It's not a secret, in the end you learn to mind your business, let them self segregate in peace.
Your GPS would give you shortcuts but it's safer especially in the evenings to take the main roads and avoid backroads.
This video was such a bizarre and interesting journey. Niko is like the CEO of keeping a straight face
Niko is cool, smart and witty. Glad you included this! Also 3:33 ChaCha 'knows which 'BBC' is being referred to...
Never expected Niko to appear in OSSCđ
I WAS JUST WATCHING THAT đ€Łđ€Ł Niko is funny asl and awesome
Also I just want to say something black people did try to have their own neighborhoods we did we literally wanted to be left alone but every time we did they burned our houses down and hunted us
The KKK thinking is all over the place they refuse to think that what they're doing is bad literally multiple times we've wanted to be left alone and it never worked because they're obsessed with us
Sadly thats when u guys were more civilized too. Now you kill each other at alarming rates and destroy your own neighborhoods. Dont blame anyone else. You guys tear each other down.
@@user-wr9ej6xe4j bro youâre not even black. Stop talking about black neighborhoods
LOL! The "bbc" guy is pretty ballsy to pull something like that, especially cuz he lives on the other side of the Atlantic. But I see he really does have a sense of humor. He probably is not likely to do this again.
nah, niko will probably do this again. Watch his some of his vids he's really risky lol, love him
@trix o So why does he do this drivel? What's his problem?
@trix o drivel - nonsense
@trix o You seem to be more Asian than European.
@@Religious_man what are you mad about, its just a video đ
2:45 Mj said that like English is her first language LMFAO
ikr lol
Right
I would love to see a react episode on microaggressions because most of the time the reactors are expecting overt attacks when hearing about racism. It would be interesting to see them react to how racism is greatly subtle and get their takes on it
THIS ^
niko is an english treasure. glad u guys watch this!!
I'm so glad Niko is getting the recognition he deserves
Nikoâs video has actually went so viral I canât believe even people all the way in Korea are watching it.
There is no way in hell would I ever expect OSSC to react to Niko LMAOOO
3:33 look at Cha Cha's reaction to the BBC they know đ€Łđ€Ł
Video Idea!! Remember when they reacted to black history I would love it to have them react to Asian American History. I think it would be cool to have the perspective of Asian History in American. Anyway just a cool video idea
I just watched that video the other day, Niko is so funny lol
Yess Niko đđđ British humour is full of sarcasm
It breaks my heart when I see and read about stories about people from other countries with all these different backgrounds experiencing racism in America especially being white myself. You have to be a truly hateful person to look down on someone because of their skin color or their background. We can be so much better than this.
Honestly when I saw clips from his video I just thought of how dumb it was? I think because heâs British he doesnât fully understand how evil these ppl are and that if they could they would hurt him very very very bad. Racism is very dangerous in this country and something black Americans have to deal with from the moment they are born till the moment they die. He was privileged enough to go and have a convo with that man and make it out unscathed. If he was regular American I rlly think it would have been a different story and outcome to the video.
And thatâs why he was perfect for the role, like you said if any black American was to do that the outcome wouldâve been horrible. But because Niko guised himself as being from the BBC and the fact that he was British contributed in him getting away with it. And thus the perfect man for the job.
Fr i think thats also why he was able to do it. They could hear he is a foreigner .
He is british
Or the fact that British people are scared of people like this
weve got equally bad people here đ dont you remember punish a muslim day
Never thought Iâd see niko on this channel! Happy to see the love heâs getting
Omgfgg lol Niko really made it guys they really reacted to him I'm so happy đđđ«đ©đïžđ„đ«
I laughed so hard when I watched it Niko has no fears
That was so dangerous I am happy Niko made out of there safely. On the major news there was a video of some white men trying to hang a black man by the neck in a tree. Be careful people.
Big up Niko he made it to Korea
NDL!!
I'm from the UK and idk man I'm legit scared of America and Americans. Ik there are many mant racist idiots in the UK as well but America is just on a whole other level. Why are there so many racists in the world? It's scary.
Whole other level? Nothing has changed with white Americans oppressing bipoc and racism in America isnât getting worst but filmed.
Funny video! Harrison is very well known as a racist town to blacks In Arkansas. As a matter of fact, the entire state is pretty racist. They have âwhite flightâ towns & âsundown townsâ. My brother lived there for 20 years & he advised me not to move there due to the racism. His wife is from Louisiana & she said she had to go north (Arkansas) to experience racism. Itâs palpable there.
Being stopped by police because your black is kinda normal everywhere đ
I mean 13 percent of the population commiting 58 percent of the violent crimes

if you're going to use someone's video in your video, linking to their channel in the description is just common courtesy.
More prank videos would be cool. Vlog creations, jidion, lofe, kanel joseph, etc
This was the best reaction video prob better then actual video itself
never expected this channel to react to niko lmaoo
I'm so happy you reacted to him, Niko is a great youtuber to react to in other videos, my favorite was a prank on a cab driver and then giving the driver money and throwing him a party, he pranks people but he does it in such a wholesome way :)))
Shout out the my fellow UK Peeps!

Please react to Korean English man, when ollie is alone in korea đ

Honestly Iâd rather someone be openly racist than some who hides their racism towards me and gives micro-aggression. Bc at least you know not to go around those openly racist ppl. Others will just pretend they arenât while still belittling you and thatâs most racism in America these days and even around the world
That's exactly why trump is better than Biden, Because presidents like Biden hide their true nature
You have got to live this channel the content they put out awesome

The fact that you can shoot people for trespassing in most states (27) in the US makes this super scary. I know it is technically a legal gamble to do so and "fear of great bodily harm or death" is very up for interpretation but it is not illagal. Crazy!!

Please do niko for mayor reaction
My only hope is that just because of this video, they donât view all of the United States that way. That man does not represent the mentality of Americans at all. Iâm an undocumented immigrant from Mexico and Iâve lived here most of my life. Iâve always been very open about my undocumented status and Iâve had very few negative experiences. Pretty sure you experience this in the vast majority of countries, itâs not just the U.S.
Its common of foreigners to think that way which I understand, most of the news we hear from the US are about School shootings, Minorities being discriminated and etc, when foreigners look at this they probably think " I dont wanna take my family to this country " for fear of these things happening to them which sucks. I've visited San Diego its an awesome place to be in but I understand coming from a foreigners POV.
@@TheOneBeing1345 I understand what you mean. I just see such a sharp contrast between the reactions of the US and other countries and its problems. Mexico unfortunately has the reputation of corrupt police officers and drug cartels. However, Iâve seen many comments get plenty of hate for saying âI donât want to go to Mexico because of X.â The same does not apply to the USA. If foreigners say anything negative about the U.S., itâs accepted and deemed as universal. Itâs not true. Every country has its problems. The biggest problems by far in the USA are school shootings, mental health, and the healthcare system. In other countries, itâs different problems.
As a black American, Iâd rather them see the US as this. True, not all of the US is bad, but racism is EVERYWHERE. Itâs better to push these things into light than to hide it behind an âAmerican Dream.â The USA isnt some glamourous, safe & umproblematic country and I thinknthat if more people see this, theyâll be able to sympathize with people of color more. Especially people who donât live in America. Many non Americans think we (people of color) have it good when itâs not true. Iâve experienced racism almost everyday of my life and Iâm only 18. So yeah, Iâd rather them see America for how it is than see it how white people wants them to.
@@MirueYT Rather than see it how white people want to see it? I want them to see the United States as what it is. A normal country that has itâs good sides and itâs bad sides. Iâm a Mexican citizen, and I want foreigners to see the USA as that. Itâs not just what âwhitesâ want. The United States has many things it can improve on. And I mean A LOT. However, that doesnât mean it is a bad country to live in. Even for POC. Many of the foreigners I know are really happy with the USA because they escaped their kidnappers and cartels chasing them. Despite not ONE of them having a legal status in this country, they are living better than they did in their home country. Itâs good to see the good sides to the USA and not just the bad because THAT is the reality. Thereâs positives and negatives to everything.
@@danahi14 Black elders literally got gunned down last week and yesterday, children. The US is not normal. But it is understandable that immigrants vs ppl with longer sordid histories in the US will have different perspectives.
