    Magnussen trying to take the apex when there is another car or what?
    And he should expect for a car to push a bit outwards, especially early in the race when tires are all over the place and a small slide or bit of under/oversteer should be expected.
    Magnussen was just stupid, he had way more grip on the softs and could have overtaken while giving lewis more then enough margin for error.
    We can always of course talk about the idea of lewis doing things a bit better as well, but magnussen had all the tools to avoid this and decided he would rather throw his haas into the gravel in the rare occasion that the Haas looked like it could drive into the points.. I still dont understand why they keep him.

    Any other driver in the inner lane take a close path as you do in a corner. But not Hamilton. The equivalent is, magnussen cant drive close behind a car at the start. The one infront might not put the food tonthe floor.
    It's racing, not a sunday trip. Ofcause hamilton shouldn't have that distance to the curb.

    • @bulversteher
      @bulversteher Před 2 lety +8

      Hamilton took a line as far inside as he could, he was only just running out of grip in dirty air and had a little bit of understeer. Mag had to account for that and didn't.

    Hamilton does this all the time. There is plenty of space for him to turn into the corner, but he doesn’t bother, and runs any opposition off the track. This happens so often.

    • @LunnarisLP

      Okay, Magnussen has plently of space out there and could easily avoid this crash, while Hamilton has barely any space left to the inside and by your logic should be the one to massively compromise on the line he is driving just because magnussen isnt willing to do so?
      No offense but you got no clue of f1. Hamilton had the corner as he is ahead on the apex and it is within his right to basically drive his line as long as he isnt forcing the other driver off the track, which he clearly didnt. Magnussen simply wanted to take the corner super tight, which Lewis probably couldnt even do on mediums with less grip and likely less heat compared to Magnussens Softs.

    KMag holds his line Lewis does not Lewis is all over the place, looked like trying to keep speed with faster tyres and Lewis lost grip or too much power and twitched.

      nice story bro now watch the video again. Merc is on a totally normal line holding it, while Magnussen agressively turns and drives into Hamilton. Idk if he expected Hamilton to driver a tighter turn, but you cant just drive like that as Magnussen. And yes lewis has less grip and thus less control. Thats the same for every driver. thats why you leave some margin of error in such situations, especially when you are on the outside and your race will be over if you have contact. Magnussen driving like he started yesterday. And Lewis only really lost control after he was hit

      "pushing drivers out" bro you watching the same track? Inside has like a couple cm left for hamilton to keep it tighter. Outside is like 3m left for Magnussen to leave more space instead of turning into hamilton. Even if people make such a nice video putting both side by side you cant put your hatred away for a second and make an honest verdict.

  • @NeumannKlaus
    @NeumannKlaus Před rokem +1

    Lewis gets washed wide by his compromised line battling with the Ferrari, Magnussen makes a lot of movements on the steering wheel because thats his driving style with the Haas, Hamilton at fault, you can see at the previous corner he also washed wide a bit and the ferrari on the outside had to avoid him ...
