just imagine. it’s your birthday. you’ve decided to go to your favorite pizzeria, mostly because of the characters they have there. you love them. after you and the friends you brought had some pizza, your friends decided to go to the arcade, but showtime was just starting, and you wanted to stay and watch.
you told them you’d be just a moment. around the middle of the song, you see a yellow bunny. he kind of looks like bonnie. he said he would give you a birthday surprise, just for you, as long as you’d just follow him. you agree to follow him, because he must be friends with freddy and the others, and they would never do anything bad to you, right?
you’d only just then realized your mistake as the rabbit closed the door behind you, and all you saw was a dark room, filled with the body parts of the characters you’d loved. you had barely realized what had happened until it was too late.
a slicing blade. a shrill screech, unheard among the chaos going on outside of the room. your friends had returned to the main stage and were calling for you, and you tried to answer, but you couldn’t speak. as your vision faded, all you heard was that yellow rabbit’s laughter.
you woke up, confused. you felt stiff. everything was hurting. you screamed, but no sound came out. you couldn’t move. all you saw was the back of a red curtain. you come to the horrifying conclusion that you are now one of those characters that you adored so much. you heard kids laughing and talking outside of the curtain. it’s not fair. why did it have to happen to you?
the only time you’d ever been allowed to roam free was at night. you didn’t like the dark. it scared you. you would walk down the hallways every night, and you’d think you saw *him.* the one who hurt you. you tried to hurt him like he hurt you, but the door would close.
this cycle would continue for years. you began to think no one was ever coming to save you. but then *he* came. he hurt you and your friends. again. but he was scared this time. he hid. he died. you finally hurt him. and you’re finally free.
it’s your happiest day. you can finally hug your parents again. and now he’s suffering.
but he came back. he always comes back.

This song to me is a mix of nostalgia, sadness, fear, sorrow, loneliness, never ending pain and suffering, and just that trapped for eternity feeling that Fnaf gives off. I wish I could get the same chills that I had when I heard this for the first time. Also if you really think about the whole lore of the first few games while you listen to it, it will give you a whole new feeling and perspective on it, a broken man who lures kids into a back room to kill them, him stuffing their bodies into his own animatronics, their bodies rotting as their confused souls stay trapped for eternity wandering the same halls of the place the had been killed in, every single night, then him getting killed brutally by the same suit that he used to kill them. It makes you actually realize how sad and dark the lore really is.

It sure is, man. Sure is. Ya know, I play a 1 hour slowed, reverb, rain sound version of this lullaby whenever I feel like I am too restless to sleep. As somber as it sounds, it somehow gives me a sense of comfort...
