The only Alocasia that you showed which I don't own is the Purpley. My Cuprea is in a South Facing Window. It has 12" leaves, but they do tend to bend down. I stake them up. I agree that the Dragon's breath is very easy and beautiful. Mine is getting very full with stems that are not so long. My Corozon is growing nicely after dying back to one small leaf. I got it from a grocery store so was not surprised to have that happen. My Purple cloak has grown very well from a small plant one year ago to 12" leaves. It is quite tall also, over two feet. It does have those prominent veins on the underside, but has lost alot of the purple color. It is also in a South facing window. All of my Alocasia are in a variety of mixes. I have found that if they have enough light and heat they are happy. I also have the Tanda Rusa which is doing very well. I also watched your jewel Alocasia video. They are some of my favorites. I have no variegated ones yet. Not until they come down in price, like the one you got.
Oh that's awesome to hear! I'm thinking of staking my cuprea too, but gotta do it then the stem is soft because it hardens in place. 🧡 Love Alocasias even if they can be finicky!
I had my Cuprea in a chunky mix in terracotta, obvs not perfect, I’d grow a leaf, one would die, I had 3 leaves tops at a time, UNTIL… I put sphagnum moss on top of the soil, I water it when the moss dries now and she’s bushing out and giving me leaves the size of my head now! The pots the Heterophyllas are in, where’d you get those?

I'm loving alocasia life. I just got into alocasia recently because I was scared of them, but LECA makes them extremely easy.
Agreed! LECA helps a ton! I'm now trying some PON for the extra finicky ones.
Same! I have 2 now I both put in LECA and their roots are just beautiful. They love the stuff. They're producing lovely leaves.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 Yes Semi-Hydro for Alocasias is 🐐🐐🐐
