  • I get that if you are starting out as a solo game developer, that you will be solo. But to make amazing games you need a team. And in this video I will tell you why.

I had become a solo developer after many failed projects I'd tried to work on as a team, friends eventually giving up so I had no choice but to go it alone. I decided that I could only bet on myself to succeed.

You are the only one you can rely on for your own project to succeed, if you give up so will the project. But that doesn't mean you should work alone. Just got to keep finding new people :)

I find that I love most jobs like animating scripting modeling I got pretty good at them, And for me the only time im going to work on a team is if im getting paid or its with a friend at the moment I find it really fun solo developing :D

as an introvert, I see solo development as perfect. You learn many skills, and you own 100% of the game, which means you get 100% revenue and you make 100% of the ideas. Just Perfect. I sometimes communicate with other devs on Devforum and Roblox games and sometimes support them with Robux, but in many cases, communication with other Roblox developers can go horribly wrong and can make you lose your motivation. That's also a reason I stopped doing commissions, most of them were from spoiled and inexperienced 8-year-olds with lots of Robux.

To anybody asking: I do modeling and scripting. It took me 3 years to master modeling and I am now learning scripting.

i solo my work but whenever i try to get a team then they always say they need 10k robux first. i mean they should get a percent not 10k

Sorry to say this but if people are asking for 10k robux and you dont have enough to pay them. Then your main focus should be earning robux with your 1 skill you have and saving enough to make a whole game.

I'd say it took me a year to be comfortable coding games without tutorials. I wouldn't let my answer discourage you from learning a skill that you want. It depends on how much time you can dedicate towards learning a topic.

I get the point here, but the way you worded it makes it sound like you are trying to stop people becoming game developers.
