    I love the inclusion of Melody bc
    of how it expands the universe. We’ve never seen a friendly ghost that maybe you wouldnt want to bust aside from the silent CG Egon… and we’ve also never explored what keeps people here vs “moving on.” It was great to learn more about how the GB afterlife works through her and also to see a nice ghost who fears being “busted.” Another great way they dug into this stuff was the conversation with Ray about what he might be like as a ghost… trust me, this is the stuff fans have debated and discussed for DECADES - Are there nice ghosts? Do the ghosts fear the ghostbusters? What does the team expect in their afterlife - will every other dead being despise them? If we can see all these ghosts, why isn’t New York just PACKED FULL of ghosts? ALL this stuff gets addressed in Frozen Empire!

    Please don’t ever kill off Bill / Venkman. Have him beamed up to a galactic Hugh Hefner type bunny house or anything……..Haa…..just keep him alive even if they are all in their wheelchairs…..busting wheelchairs! Bill is just Bill. No edge. I love that. He seemed happy in this film ❤️

    Frozen Empire is a good and fun movie, just wish they would give the original GB more screen time in uniform and more time fighting with the proton packs along with the new GB's. In both movies they only get 10 minutes in uniform. '
    Please do one more movie with the original guys and let them fight more in uniform. That would be great and the fans would love it. Also it will give us a trilogy with the original Ghostbusters along with the new GB.

      FE had the most busting in all of the movies though. In the first 2 and Afterlife, there were only two big action sequences which were the first catch, and the final battle.

    I saw Frozen Empire in the theater this past Thursday. In all honesty, and not to offend anyone, but I wasn't a fan of this one at all. It felt overstuffed with things happening that when I think back to it, all I can think of is nothing but chaos. That doesn't happen when I think of the original two movies or even Afterlife. This one just felt like I was being beat over the head with nostalgic fan service. Like that split second in the library when Ray sees the library ghost from the first one. Really? Did we really need that? Also William Atherton's acting was over the top to the point of being cartoonish. In the first one his acting was much more natural. This one unfortunately didn't do much for me. Glad most of you enjoyed it, though.

    • @RappingNinja
      @RappingNinja Před 2 měsíci

      Afterlife was literally nothing but nostalgic fanservice, though? There was nothing else? This one at least does new/different things.

    My big complaint was the rushed ending. They drag out all this Melody & Phoebe romance nonsense and push the Garakka storyline to the side. The 3rd act should have been at least 10- 20 minutes longer. I don't care if it's long. I'd rather it feel long than feel like it's on fast-forward.

      No more in the middle tv shows. Movie stars movies need to stay big. If they do tv then do a totally separate thing heck even animation to keep things separated.

      How about a tv show that has one off episodes from Ghostbusters around the world. One episode you could be in Ireland dealing with a ghostly Leprechaun then the next episode you have Bill Burr representing a Boston Ghostbusting crew. I think lots of celebrities would love to be a Ghostbuster if it was a small commitment and they only had to do one episode. Also more grounded stories of busting the ghost of the week could be fresh. I don't think every ghost needs to be a end of the world type threat.

    Ok ummmm . . . . Am I the only one who noticed in this interview that he can't properly say the word "towards" (2:11 into interview). He says TOE WORDS twice! 😂 Im a huge fan of the Ghostbusters movies and while i enjoyed the movie it definitely did have some issues and the main one that stands out for me is the same one that most people didn't like, the whole "Phoebe & Melody" thing. It just didn't work and felt totally out of place. The movie came to a screeching halt and stopped on the scenes where it was just the two of them and you want to push a fast forward button to get back to the movie. They played a game of chess together and took a tour around the firehouse and now Phoebe is in love with this Ghost Girl already?!?!? Im thinking A LOT OF SCENES got cut from the movie some of which being scenes of Phoebe & Melody building there "relationship" if that's what you wantvto call it When those scenes got cut, what we're left with is an unrealistic forced relationship between Phoebe & Melody that are both willing to risk life and death for each other after only spending a VERY SHORT amount of screen time together which leaves us all confused with their actions.

    Patton Oswald's character/scene was the only thing in the movie that really didn't work for me. He seemed to know too much way too fast. Seemed rushed. You could have gotten the same result with Ray taking the kids to do research on their own. Just my thoughts

  • @theraccoonkf1027
    @theraccoonkf1027 Před 2 měsíci

    Also why put a scene in the movie of Phoebe asking Ray if he's ever thought about what it would be like to be a Ghost if they have a machine that's capable of letting you BE a Ghost for 2 mins and she even tells Melody that it is NOT lethal ?! Makes ZERO sense. I also read that in original script, Lucky dies and is why many of the scenes from the trailers are not in the movie like the rooftop scene in the movie is Lucky and Trevor but in the trailer it was all the new cast EXCEPT Lucky. Overall it was still a fun movie and look on the brightside, it could always be worse. Atleast least Gil Kenan didn't forever damage and rape the franchise and Legacy Characters like Rian Johnson did with star wars!!!

    • @RappingNinja
      @RappingNinja Před 2 měsíci

      The first scene with the machine, Phoebe asks and Lars says they haven’t experimented on living beings with that machine yet - and why would you want to? When she first offers to Melody to try this idea, Phoebe does then say it’s experimental and potentially dangerous. But I think Phoebe is feeling so low and alone at that point that she’s like “meh”

    This guy did not have the track record to be handling GB. You know who woulda been perfect? Men in Black director Barry Sonnenfeld. Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future) could have created an original soundtrack. Who makes these decisions anyway? How they dropped the ball on this one is beyond me.

    Lol, who liked the melody ghost character, that was a horrible decision. Instead of wasting valuable screen time on a human ghost, you should have had Garaka appear sooner and actually have him do something to actually become a threat. All this wonderful build up for a simple ending, disappointing

    Forcing a life preference on a minor was not smart for a family movie, half the cast was wasted, the post credit made zero sence, the nestalga was perfect, the comedy was perfect, 5m of peck was a horable tease, no mention of Dana, Luis or Oscar was very dumb, lack of egon memory was not cool, half if the trailer scenes were cut
