- Here is another great place to paddle that is less than an hour from the GTA. This is a gentle section of the Grand River that is perfect for an all day trip! There are limited places to get out on the Grand since the banks are quite steep....but some rest stops can be found. It winds through farmland but is lined with large trees so you feel as if you are paddling through a forested area....and you will not encounter many other people which is surprising considering it's proximity to the city of Brantford. Take the time to check out this large, beautiful river and you will not be disappointed! - Kurt Outdoors

Love the 10km in 46 seconds!
Lots of info is nice 👍 what you using as your kayak looks great. Turning or a sea kayak looks fast
Hi..it’s a touring kayak. Delta 16. Had it about 10 years...a good all rounder! Thanks for the comment.
Great Video. I plan on going to grand river through the Kaufman’s Flats access point. Is the current too strong to go upstream? I am one person and want to get back to my car.
Hi, I think the current maybe a little bit stronger in that area if you’re going upstream. Also, the river is much smaller in that part and quite a bit shallower. Maybe you should try the oxbow section if you are by yourself…. I have a video which gives information on that section.. thanks a lot for watching my video!
Great video! I am having trouble to find the spot using the coordinates in your video, can you give some specific details on the location? Thanks!
Thanks! Go to google maps and search for “Onondaga Ontario” the launch point is close to the intersection of road 54 and Front street. If you turn onto Front street you can’t miss it....goes right by the boat launch.
