    This was the most informative video about Createx paints I have seen! I've been a long time E'tac & Golden Acrylics user (and still am), but I have started to give Createx a shot. Started with the Candy2o's, got some Wicked Detail White, and really fell in love when I started using 4012, even in my other acrylics. The original W500 was not that great, and when I started airbrushing Createx was limited to basically the original T-Shirt paint, but you guys have really been stepping up your game, so much that I got a Bloodline Master Set, big bottles of Illustration White/Black?Payne's Grey, and hopefully will be able to obtain more Illustration Colors. I am now proud to use the #createx under my @fineartairbrushing account posts, and have no fears about using it on artwork I hang in galleries with 4 figure price tags. Thanks for your continued innovation, and look forward to what you come up with next!

    Ive recently changed over from solvent based systems to Createx water based and although it takes a little to get your head around it at first Im more than happy with my results and am an advocate for this product line. Keep it evolving Craig!

    Hey Chad, I know this video is a year old but, But could you ask Craig what micron strainer we should be using for the Createx paints. I mean what size for the different size flakes, metallics, pearls and the standard solid colors. Each paint should have a preffered micron size, esp the 3 flake sizes, metallic and pearls, too small and the strainer plugs up from flake / metallic etc., too big and the clumps get through. Maybe you could get the list from Craig and post it on SprayGunner and add a link to the list on the paint pages. Oh and tell Craig to start putting drying speed on the reducer again, IE. Slow, Medium,Fast. Thank you guys, for these super informative videos and Superb service and selection at your store also. Mike. S in Ohio

    What would be awesome is a paint company that offers a product that can come packaged in a way where they can be mixed at home. This would help with things like this where the customer could then pickup things like distilled water and other elements that are susceptible to freezing. I could see a lot of other options for coming up with this type of a paint option.

      @@SprayGunneri'd love a break down of the differences between all the silvers they make. And what are my filling primers and clearcoat options if i want to stay water-based ( i just don't want hard fumes of lacquer in my studio) . But i want that think gloss clears like the 2 paks

    I’d like to use the Bloodlines and Lifelines paints for doing scale plastic monster models. If I have them primed with, say, a Tamiya grey primer from a rattle can will that be sufficient to use those two lines through an air brush for it? The colors are some of the only non-bright colors I’ve been able to find for decent monsters

    • @SprayGunner
      @SprayGunner  Před rokem +1

      Yes, that's totally fine. Prime with Tamiya, AMMO Titans, Createx UVLS 4050 or 6000 depending on the plastic type and paint over with Illustration Colors, they are great! Just make sure to give them at lest 48 hours to fully cure before clear coating.

  • @chipblock2854

    Do you recommend it on plastic? I build model cars and trucks and enjoy using paints that are not normal model car paints, like HOK.
    Thanks.

    • @SprayGunner
      @SprayGunner  Před 4 lety +1

      Hello. Absolutely! Use 4050 UVLS by Createx as a first coat (primer) and any Createx paints on top.

    Can createx wicked be used on skin? Body paint since it is water based?

    • @SprayGunner
      @SprayGunner  Před 5 lety +1

      No Sir, please don't. There are other harmful ingredients in paints besides solvent so water-based doesn't mean safe for skin. It will dry the skin and may cause irritation/allergies

    I just bought 4 bottles of various colors including pearl. I am really hesitant to use them to paint a scale plastic car model with. Up till now,I have been using Testors Enamels. I always thought you cannot sand and polish acrylics..

    • @SprayGunner
      @SprayGunner  Před 3 lety

      Hello Howard! There is a difference. Enamels are 1-stage. It's like a combination of base and clear coats in one. Createx paints are base coats. Same as all modern cars painted. Base coat requires clear coat on top to protect it and add shine. In this case you will sand and polish clear coat, not the acrylic paint layer.

    Hi I’m starting to airbrush and bought wicked paints , I’m gonna be painting on barber clippers some are metal some are plastic do you recommend me spraying a primer before actual airbrushing starts? And what clear coat do you recommend to last years? Also how much clear coat coats?

    • @SprayGunner
      @SprayGunner  Před 3 lety

      Hello Jess! 4050 should be the right product for you. It's UVLS Clear by Createx and provides good adhesion to metals and plastics. Also, you can use it as a mid-coat to seal your design. For the long-lasting top coat we recommend 2K automotive grade clear. Custom Creative Easy Clear is a good affordable option spraygunner.com/custom-creative-easy-clear-c5700-hs/

    Hi, I have been wanting to do a Chartreuse RC body, and heard you talking about Chartreuse in this video. How did he say to make it again? Mix Flourescent blue with Flourescent yellow? Which color blue and which color yellow and which brand Regular Createx or Createx Wicked?

      @SprayGunner  Před 4 lety

      Jonny, we have this color in ChromaAir paint line now (also awesome water-based paints suitable for RC body). Just didn't have time to list them on spraygunner.com yet. It should be up soon. But yeah, basically it's a mixture of fluorescent green and yellow

      Thanks a bunch, I'm loving the Wicked paints,I was using Pro-Line paints that are supposed to be "Ready to spray" yet I was having to reduce the Pro-Line paints way more than Wicked, Most of my Wicked paints are spraying right out of the bottle as long as I'm using .5 Needle/Nozzle.
