Busta has been doing this thing on a high level since 1990....But yet he is a rare showing in people's Top 10. Please Give that man his flowers.
Busta Rhymes is incredible, but there are a bevy of misses for each of his hits. The man is an incredible emcee and a God-tier performer, but his quality is not always consistent. ELE 2 was incredible. Blockbusta seems like he had too many cooks in the kitchen, in addition to some undercooked bars/songs. He's a GOAT, but I also understand why he's not cracking folks' top 10 lists.

@@AlexParkerEmcee agree with Blockbusta being lackluster. But I beg to differ with Busta's career of albums being too inconsistent. I say he was TOO consistent throughout the years for people to rank him outside of a to 10. Especially when you compare the album runs to most that are in the usual Top 10s.

I have a tiny bit of pushback on that. I believe social media has shown folks that they can create their own lane. I argue that creating your own is starting from step 0, BUT to get to step 100, I 1000000% agree that people should seek mentors, accept advice, and accept help. As a 17 military veteran, I will say leaders have to be taught how to lead at all levels. No one jumps off the porch and knows how to lead. Even though some people are natural leaders, they still need mentors and guidance in areas they lack insight. My bad I'm done ranting lmao .

One of the G.O.A.Ts hands down. He's rarely ever mentioned in so-called best lists. I was going through my Hip Hop stash and realized I more of his albums than anyone else, which says alot for me. I know I got his first six albums including the 2 Leaders of the New School joints. I don't even have alot of my favorites albums like that. Definitely one of the pioneers of the culture

That was a beautiful interview and these interviews were especially the older hip hop heads show how much they have grown is just amazing. It's like listening to a Nas album, all that rah rah energy just goes away because sometimes it's about the important things like life and put in your best foot forward, and those are beautiful messages especially over dope beats.
Also important is that he stressed that people extended a hand downward. As a person that's self-taught and all of my talents, some of us don't know what it feels like for others to reach down and help. Yes our friends and maybe a homie or something but in terms of advanced peers in our fields, some of us just don't know what that means. It's awesome that some of these guys out here actually understand that helping people is not just a way to send somebody a bill or own a piece of what they're trying to do.
