How to thread a sewing machine | Janome 525S

- This is a quick video on how to thread a sewing machine using my Janome 525S. The machine has a top-loading bobbin. I will show you:

If you have a top drop-in (horizontal) bobbin, please, test the bobbin orientation. The bobbin has to rotate counterclockwise when you pull the thread.

how is this machine like with heavier fabrics like denim and thickness changes?
My Janome perfectly coped with three layers of dense denim. It is important to adjust the thread tension and insert the needle for heavy or very heavy fabrics.
I put a thick piece of cardboard under the foot to avoid skipping stitches in places of thickness changes.

I would like to help you, but I never worked with the Janome hd3000. And I don't have much sewing experience to recommend a certain model.
In the Janome 525s I really liked the function of additional adjustment sewing speed on the foot control.
I see, does the 525s feel sturdy or mostly plastic? I would like to get a machine for my girlfriend that can last awhile..
The internal mechanisms of the 525s are made of metal. The sewing machine is heavy enough to be stable during sewing, but at the same time it's easy to carry. For the year its use, I wasn't disappointed in my choice.
