DIY Magnetic Pin Holder

- A magnetic pin holder is a must-have for me to avoid pins flying all over the carpet (and to quickly pick them up when they do!). Here’s an easy DIY to make your own, using air-dry clay.
I am not a modelling clay expert, I’m just sharing what I did and a few things I learnt along the way. If I can do it, you can too ;)
You will need:
• Air-dry clay (I used Fimo Air Basic)
• Acrylic paint and brush
• Gloss varnish (I used Fimo)
• Strong magnet (mine is 25mm [1in] diameter, 3.5mm [1/4in] thick)
• Superglue
If you make your own, I’d love to see! Please share with us on Instagram @TillyButtons using the hashtag #tillyandthebuttons.

Lots of fun. That would be a nice idea for a present too.
I admit, my more prosaic solution is a stainless steel, shallow cat food dish with a slightly convex bottom, and a small magnet attached to the underside.
Very clever idea
So clever!
Real kool 💕
What a brilliant idea! Off to Hobbycraft, I go to source the equipment needed.😁
