F's in chat for my custom painted G502... o7
F RIP

thats a solid mouse, change the skate pads n mod it to reduce weight and it a whole new mouse,
i have the 8k razer, the razer mouses software is god awful ,so bloated and toxic, always wants to be used and eats resources in background
F 😔
@@hawkeyes4768 Changing the skate pads doesnt give you any good amount of weight reduction over just getting a ligher mouse in the first place second different skates wont chang the fact that a 70 to 113g mouse is just to height . Its not worth moding at all .
I got the G502X+ recently to replace my ageing G903 since 2017 and I don’t regret it. Love the extra buttons, the new RGB, the DPI shift button and how ergonomic it feels to use for tasks and gaming. Plus it works well for Logitech gamers who already have the Powerplay mat so you don’t ever have to worry about charging it or having to plug in the receiver.
The Lightspeed receiver on the G502X is also capable of connecting other Lightspeed devices like keyboards :)
Thanks for everything you do! I've recently started making gaming montages and I'm looking for music. I've been looking at streambeats, but I've also been exploring other content. Would you be able to recommend any particular artists who are royalty free or at a low price (
So you kept saying dock to charge was a good feature.
Have you thought about the light speed wireless charging mousepad for logitech? Or does the 502x not support it?
I have the g502 pro, and that little edge that keeps my thumb from resting on the mouse pad... it's not much but I love it
If you need that your grip is just wrong . The g502 is a ergo nightmare compaired to a Pulsar V3 .
Or that we have different preferences?. I use a glorious model i wireless (haven't found a better mouse yet that is around the same weight) and love the thumb rest area as other mic like my zowie ec3-cw don't feel as comfortable to move around even though it's undeniably a better mouse.@@xythiera7255
@@xythiera7255Imagine personal preferences and different hand shapes existing, would be wild right?
I don't have that and I'm missing some fingerprint lol
@@jadenanjaraI know he thinks there is nothing but superlights for REAL HARDCORE GAMERS, not everyone has skinny little stubby hands to use those small mice! I can kick ass with my g502 on fps games still!
There is also the Roccat Kone XP Air if you're into bulkier, heavier mice with the kind of features described in the vid.
xp air is overpriced and outdated
Yussss
The best mouse that I tried out of all of these, yes the max DPI is "low" and the optical switches in mouse 1 and 2 are not the latest, but is has the most comfortable shape (and shape is king), has a lot of extra buttons, and none of them are in the way where you feel you need to remove buttons, while at the same time being easy accessible when you need them and finally a charging dock is included in the box, which is a must for when it comes to wireless mice, either that or a powerplay matt/Qi charging solution. Having to charge with a cable, kind of ruins the point for me of getting a wireless mouse to begin with.
I know they wouldn't be your preferred shape and they're missing the features you like but would love your thoughts on the BeastX mouse and the Logitech G303
I personally started trying out Lamzu atlantis OG v2 4K. Feels pretty good so far
I am big fan of your tech reviews that aren't video or mic based. Those are great, but I like hearing your opinion on all different kinds of computer accessories
Which wireless dock did you use with the G502X
The Fnatic Bolt is fantastic. For anyone familiar with it and considering switching mice. I've been using it for a couple of months now and I'm delighted with it. It feels super lightweight. I come from using a Razer Basilisk and I'm very happy.
do they have wireless mice with dual mouse pad that charges the mouse when it needs it? better yet lets just disable function to the mouse when its lifted from the pad for more than 2 seconds?
Great video man! Love the videography
i tried the Razer Naga V2 Pro on a whim and it's incredible imo, i love the six button side panel for it and the resting spot for the ring finger
🔥 content. You just gained a new sub. Can you link the charging dock for the Logitech?
amazing vid and now i cant decide on what mouse i want to get next but def great info thanks harris
go razer unless you care about all the extra buttons!
I'm using the Model I 2 Wireless for quite some time now. I switched out the battery for a bigger one and turned down the RGB to 5%. It's holding a charge for 3 weeks of medium use so thats nice. However: I've never before seen a mouse/keyboard software that does not support binding F13-F24. They buttons exist, are valid, are not used by most programs because they are not present on most keyboards and are therefore PERFECT to be bound to the extra mouse buttons without any conflicting keybindings. Glorious however decided they don't want to implement that feature (even stated that on their feature request page) and it's making me consider different mice right now.
Wait till you find out the other problems that happen *because* F13-F24 can't be bound. The mouse causes keyboard rollover when you have to set multiple key combinations as binds to it's buttons so as not to interfere with other software, this means that when I was holding down whatever I had bound to my Discord Push To Talk activation and I held another key, like W to go foward in a game, when then let go of the the Push To Talk and then let go of the W key, the W key would remain pressed untill pressed and released again. My push to talk became a toggle switch for whatever I was holding down when I last let go of it.
It's a shame because the hardware itself felt great, just the software side of it was incredibly lacking.
@@stykytteOh shit! Holy shit! I finally know whats causing my "input weirdness". I felt something was off but didn't really investigate.. I just checked and you're completely right.
I guess im in the market for a new mouse again.. But i really hope that they just release Glorious Core 2.0 and fix everything (X to doubt)
I couldn’t see ever changing from my G502 with the power play mat/receiver. I never need to worry about a thing and there hasn’t been any connection issues. Even from under my desk pad, it’s still been great.
Converted my wife from a Corsair mouse and my daughter from a razer. Razer’s software was too busy for something I just wanted to set dpi levels and rgb.
I am curious what dock you bought for your G502 as logitech doesn't sell 1 directly
Maybe he uses Logitech Powerplay for charging? Or did he explicitly mention a dock?
he said somewhere in the video that he got a dock for $30 whilst talking about the price of the razer dock being $80@@k1nl1k1nl1
@@pawbuttox guess I missed that... Yeah, not sure where he got it from then
my fellow senpai gamers. what other mice can yall recommend with left and right click scroll wheel. I currently have the razer basilisk ultmate going on year 2. Need a replacement, I tried out the basilisk v3 pro, like Harris said, "its too heavy". i know the g502 has that capability but looking for something lighter or better :) happy gaming!
Have you tried the Logitech Powerplay Mousepad?
Dude, that Onboard Memory Manager for Logitech is a lifesaver, tysm!
I like the g502, but man after sweaty gaming the rubber side grips and paint stains your thumb and it'll become easy to pick out. Been using mine for 7 years and have noticed it. It might just be a material thing, maybe even a model thing, but if you're bothered by it, it's probably not the best for long term uses.
I real be real that not a gameing mouse its a casual mouse . I cant imagine using a heavy mouse like that
Same here. I've bought the G502 X Plus as a replacement for it a week ago. Let's see how it fares in the long term.
@@IndrasilDesignStudioLogitech G502 X Lightspeed Plus V/S Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro
I went from a g502 to a Logitech superlight and never looked back. Took some getting used to loosing the extra buttons but the light weight is worth it.
Logitech G502 X Lightspeed Plus V/S Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro
If they release a G502 with a "rocker" button that was just an extra button (instead of a button-profile swap) I'd throw all the money at it. I use the wired g502. You can leave the weights in or out, rocking scroll wheel for side clicks, no battery to charge, but I use "Logitech Gaming Software" instead of GHub.
Its still crazy to see that to this day, the profile switching to default is still an issue while trying to program a specific game profile.
And yeah, all these mice have that side button way far up out of reach (unless you're a clawer).
I was already leaning towards the G502 X to replace my old G700 that's suddenly dying. I already have a Logitech gaming mechanical keyboard and Logitech webcam, so I like having them all work in G hub together.
Wanna get Dream Machines DM8 Pro, any thoughts?
I'd love to see your thoughts on the Azeron products
Does this G502 x require a “dongle” to stay in a usb port in order to communicate wirelessly?
Yes
On my Second Steel Series Aerox 5 Wireless. Love it. - Use the Rocker switch for Work Copy and Paste. Up Copy and Down Paste works Amazing.
The 502x with the charging pad will be my forever mouse setup
No its bad and the charging pad is also just a gimik forceing your to us a trash mousepad just so you dont have to charg a mouse for 10mins that makes no sens
@@xythiera7255you can put normal mousepads over charging pads, its a v convenient setup
@xythiera7255 remember everyone has preferences.
Dont force others to follow your standards, that so childish.
But thats your standard you are forcing onto him though 🤔@@Rayu25Demon
Doesn't the 502 has a problem with macros? ,where will stop registering macros, I have a 502 myself with that problem
I'm using the G502 unfortnally I have the weird one. My son got the one without, haha. But I totally agree that this one is the best one. And it also fits for those that have smaller hands as well
I like a heavy mouse. I run at a high DPI so a heavy mouse helps with the fine control on the small movements.
Is there any other mouse that has the option to release the wheel, like the 502 has? I never changed it because until now I thought it was the only one that had the option.
why do you even need that feature?
@@asd123465jkl Believe it or not, when you have to review a lot of documentation, as is my job, is something that comes in handy, to jump quickly from page to page, or even when you have to go to the bottom of the same page .... I don't change my mouse for that.... I love it...
I have that G502 for a couple of years now with mouse pad that is constantly charging it, so it was never connected, which is perfect, but the problem is scroll. Again and again (I had G700s before with the same problem). I think Logitech just can't make a scroll, that will survive for more than 3 months. Also I have that thing, that I have to wash my hands like 20 times a day, but mouse still get dirty, so these super light mice, because of all these holes are probably dirty all the time, which for me is a nightmare.
I've tried a ton of vertical mice, but they all suck at gaming and it's what keeps bringing me back to classic mice.
I also really need the tilting scroll wheel these days and that's a big missing feature when they're trying to cut weight.
Guess you can't have it all.
the 502 isn't perfect, and I have tried to find a better mouse, but I always come back to it. The button layout can't be beat yet.
502 is like Lamy safari, if you what I mean… it changes you, especially the way you look at gaming mouses.
The Razer Basilisk V3 Pro has an automatically switchable infinite scroll wheel, where, depending on how fast you scroll your wheel, it either scrolls in steps, or - if you scroll faster - automatically switches to infinite scroll, and switches back to step scrolling once it scrolls slowly enough.
I love this feature.
What I don't love, is lack of the 2 additional index finger buttons that Logitech has.
razer products are overpriced and often worse than their competitors at the same time, very overated brand in my opinion and theres a reason why the g502x and gpro x superlight are the best mice one can get
Based on the selection of mice you reviewed (and on some of your comments throughout the video of what you were looking for in a mouse) you might have fallen in love with the Roccat Kone XP Air.
Its super expensive with a realy out dated sensor and Roccat realy isnt a modern brand anymore i dont even know if they still care to make any modern mice at this point
On paper that looks like a really cool mouse
xp air is outdated and overpriced
My current favorite is the Razer DeathAdder V3, since it fits my big hand just perfectly.
My G600 is crapping out and im actually in the market for a new mouse. Was hoping to leave Logitech solely because of G-hub but may have to stick with the 502 🤔
Its fascinating that you made this video, and literally so close to around the same time that I am looking for a mouse, and I have an exremely similar preference too.
Currently I use the Logitech G600, which by all rights is THE BEST MOUSE for MMO's (I will not hear anyone out, the G-Shift for accessing a second and third hotbar in an MMO is game changing) but its not my favorite mouse for other games. I can use the G600 in Fortnite (the main game I play) but idk if I really enjoy using it for that game. Plus, there is no wireless option for this mouse, despite myself and countless others asking for Logitech to refresh this mouse and give us maybe a lighter, wireless option (although both of those things might not be achieveable considering it has so many buttons on the side). Anyways, thanks for this! I may have influenced my decision to move onto something else.
I used the wired g502 for yearsss and then got a new Steelseries Aerox 5 wired mouse about 5 months ago. its been great until recently where the side buttons randomly stopped working
best mouse review i've seen thanks 👍
the personal experience you shared on the ergonomics of each mouse helped me decide which mouse to buy.
button placements and comfort to press them is so important
but most reviewers skip that, and just read the specs pretty much 🤦♂
7:23 isn't the G502 Powerplay compatible??
Yes. That's why he mentioned later that he bought a "dock" for it, which feeds off if the powerplay pogo pins in the bottom of the mouse.
Do you have issues with MMB dying? I found most mice's MMB will die after a couple years, I use it for closing browser tabs, opening new links to new tab, in-game actions... etc. I wouldn't say I smash it, but it does get a fairly often usage.
But anyhow, of all the mice I have used, the G502 MMB lasts the longest and work the best for me (I have 1 for work, 1 for home, and 1 died :() I have been using them since the wired release, they are just phenomenal.
I had a razer naga for years and liked having 12 side buttons. It died and a friend suggested I get the 502. I really don’t like the ui and button programming and would rather use synapse. Might go buy another naga.
Logitech G502 X Lightspeed Plus V/S Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro
Steel Series Aerox mice, 3, 5, 9 are plagued with with scroll wheel issues. The scroll wheel encoder is not enclosed so dust, hair, etc... fall in and make scrolling stop working as intended, up will go down and down will go up. Can use compressed air to clean it, but for the cost SS needs to fix this
I just 3d printed a docking station for my keychron M3 mouse with a magnetic cable.. so every mouse can be dockable if you want it :)
Thanks bro, helped a lot.
Does logitech have scroll wheel issues like razer? I've gone through 3 razer mice now, and they've all had different issues.
What the issue? I have razor and maybe I have it
@klikklak6099 with my current razer mouse (razer naga pro), the scroll wheel is acting up, it's like jumping whenever I scroll and will scroll the opposite direction. I've tried cleaning it but it's probably just the encoder dying.
i been a viper v2 and now a basilisk ultimate owner i maybe can help the charging kinda jank but other than that i think they work good don't know what issues you've had but i can probably help
loved the g502. had the original first version. never buying a logitech product again after my g502 lightspeed whatever that doubleclicked after 1 year and its grip falling off.
I started my "Gaming mouse" journey with Razer Naga (it was the version with 12 buttons on the side) since I played quite a lot of MMOs and MOBAs. I really enjoyed it.
It was fine until it died (or I decided it's time for a new mouse I don't remember now, it was years ago) and got myself another similar mouse (I think it was corsair or logitech I don't remember now), it had issues that make it double click instead of single click and it got annoying pretty quick and finally I switched to g502.
Not gonna lie it was the infinity scroll that convinced me. I am 100% sure I will get back to Razer Naga (or similar mouse with many buttons on it) after my g502 will be no longer of use.
That's steel serie d aero 5 is amazing..its my favorite and I use the logtech 602 wireless too
I started with the g502 too! Loved it the same. The one thing I’ll never stop missing is the infiniscroll. That’s just unbelievably useful for literally everything other than gaming and even in gaming here and there.
I use the aerox 5 and now love it(took a while). I used grip tape because it felt slick to me and with that grip tape and a broken pocket clip of a pen, I made an extension for that unreachable ass thumb button. I use it for ping in warzone now lol. After a while, u get used to that up/down rocker button. I use it for lethal and tactical with the main 2 being crouch and prone and never accidentally hit any of em.
I used the aerox 9 before that mass loved the buttons but wanted an even lighter mouse. It’s been good to me.
One caveat and a word to the wise.
Steelseries customer support is absolute TRASH. I won’t buy anything else from them.
I can’t wait for more lightweight multi button options to come out. I’d love to find something as light with hood customer service and buttons I don’t have to modify to reach.
After using a mouse with a pinky rest i do not like any mouse without it. I bought a G502 and been using it for 4 months figuring i would get used to it but i never seem to get used to it. So now it looks like im going to buy a Corsair Dark Core PRO SE again. I had 3 of that mouse and got button issues in just under 2 years with the first two so i could change them on warranty on the third one i was not so lucky, i lost the receipt and i got issues with the scroll wheel.
It is way to limited with mouse option with pinky rests out there.
If you play FPS games at all harris give the Razer Deathadder v3 Pro a try
Still rocking the G500s from 2014. It's ten years old and still going. It won't die....
wait till you try a real super light mouse! i know these are replacements with multiple buttons but beast x is 40g and i think the lightest mouse rn is like 18g (its legit just 2 buttons and a scroll wheel, only useful for fingertip grip, not even side buttons
I was about to say, I feel it’s been a minute since a senpai gaming video lol
It would be cool to see how you mod the logitech 👀
where can i buy youre mouse pad
I personally like my corsair mice i run a wired nightsword for desktop and a wireless iron claw for laptop but they have came out with several mice since ive got mine
Really wanted to like the G502X, but the clicking noise is super loud. Wheel scrolling also.
I love how you leave out the smart scroll option on razer, that alone is reason to buy it over all the others imo lol. Also the switches are MUCH better. I bought both with the idea to send the worst one back and it did not take long at all. I liked having extra buttons on the logitech but that was it, everything else just felt cheaper, the scroll wheel felt like crap, the side buttons were about the same minus the sniper button.. Logitech's felt substantially worse but I liked the idea of being able to remove it etc.. I wish the basilisk had that. I'd say razer wins hands down unless you're a logitech fanboy. I was also worried about quality control as it seems a lot of people have had issues with the g502 pro x's switches and scroll wheel after awhile.
You helped me a lot with your videos ❤
i've had my original wired G502 since 2014 (9 years)
crazy durability. ive had mulitple g403's since 2017 and something always ends up malfunctioning within 2 ish years
currently using a Pulsar X2v2 mini. for claw grip it is a revelation.
g502x is so good! I just wish it was just a tiny bit smaller in length and width...then it'd be PERFECT!
I use a wired g502 I got for like $17, it’s amazing.
i swapped all my mice switches with the silents switches...... i'll never go back to clicky switches again. the silence is blissful
yeah i had the 502 6 years, bought the v3 and it broke after 4 months
I thought the logitech light speed was able to connect more than one device to it. You say only the razor has that.
I'm old. As such I'm programmed to believe that everything wireless means input delay in FPS stuff. Is this still the case?
Doesn't matter anymore, I risked it, bought the G502X.
i am a fan of the razer cobra pro wireless, i switch between it and the 502x between charges
Only used Logitech G600 but I love it, well I've used a two side button corsair but didn't like it much
if ur looking for like a cheap but nice mouse, try the Garuda gear Condor 1
I had a G502 SE and the 2 most used buttons started double clicking on me within 6 months of use, click and dragging was near impossible
My Razer has been solid for nearly a year
Perfect timing!
G502x wired is 80 grams I believe.I use it preferably, over other wireless mice.
For that logitech you could probably get the logitech powerplay mouse pad.. wireless charging even while you play
i will always buy wired for two reasons. 1) i don't want to charge it 2) it is a leash for my mouse to keep it found. I use my mouse on my bed and it is easy to loose it. i think i will just stick with the G502 i know i like it, i hate change, it was cheaper than the G502X. thanks for the review it was helpful.
I'm surprised you didn't look at the Corsair Darkstar Wireless
just a suggestion: Swiftpoint Z Gaming Wired Optical Mouse
I currently have three mice. The main one on my home computer is a G502 because it's the best I could find from the new series. But the one I use at work and the one I use for gaming are G700 and G700s. Because I want more buttons than the 502 but less buttons than those ugly "MMO Mice". The G700s is still, for me, the best mouse ever made (Caveat: Haven't use the Z Point).
perfect video, my g502 is currently collapsing on itself, it skips and lags on games and desktop sometimes, battery is dying i can leave it plugged in overnight and wake up to a 20% charge. She lasted like 3 years but its time to say bye
Great vid!
You got yourself a new sub
I wish I could use all of these, but sadly I'm left handed.
bro check out redragon m913 impact elite $60 and hell of a budget wireless gaming mouse
The aerox 5 sucks I have it and it will turn off randomly and it’s hard to get it back on it skips a lot so it’s hard to aim and if it dies when you are playing you can plug it up but it won’t work
A bit disappointed that you only give store-brands a shot here. Personally I've been trying Lamzu & Pulsar lately, and they're pretty solid options! (Replaced the newest Logitech Superlight) At least for a title like this. Based on the vid, "Top Ergonomic Gaming Mice of 2024" would be a better fit for a title.
Glorious Model O??
Soon as he throws it, you can see the regret in his eyes
Love the video..I have to have a more than two side button too. But I'm here to comment because you said Thank the Cauldron ♥️
Also I've been loving my Redragon M801P Sniper Pro
So I am a month late for this advice but get a mouse pad that plugs in and can charge your mouse while you play
These are most definitely not the "Top Gaming Mice of 2024"
They might be your favorite ones but that's not what the title implies
Yeah this is honestly kinda weird. He wanted to find a new mouse that fits his preference and decided to make a random video about it, while these mice may not fit to other people's preferences at all, and then proceeds to call it "The best mice of 2024".
Yep! None of these are gaming mice lol. They're mostly used for productivity with a hint of gaming. Also in this review he forgot to mention the Razer Basilisk's main feature the "smart-reel" which makes it infinitely better than the G502X. Although I hate the basilisk's hump so I use my G502X for productivity lol.
TAIPAN PRO M810 PRO Wireless Gaming Mouse is my choice but I really enjoyed this video!
