  • Hey guys, I'm on a mission to be more sustainable in 2021 so instead of buying a new pair of jeans to replace my faded black ones, I dyed them using DYLON fabic dye and it worked so well!

The best way to use Dylon is to soak the fabric in the Dylon then put it on spin hang it out to dry (drying the colour in the fabric) then once it’s dry give it a wash with a bit of soap for30 minutes at 30° and more of the colour will stay in the fabric for longer if you just put the dylon in the washing machine with the fabric and put it on a cycle you lose most of the colour

The dylon blue jeans dye is so amazing! My jeans look brand new! And instead of finding a pair of jeans that were in the correct colour but slightly wrong fit I just transformed the jeans I already had! They were perfectly good as they were, I just wish I had a pair in a dark blue, now I do!

I'm going to do this with my curtains I just bought from dunelms I lost the receipt and binned the packaging so no chance of a return. I am hopefull it will give a contrast between the existing pattern and the rest of the fabric either that or I could do the right thing and donate them to my local charity shop as I have had a ridiculous amount of designer clothes from there. The charity shops are wise to it now and sell all the best stuff online but I feel I owe them and black curtains are probably a bit morbid especially when they are nice curtains anyway. Nice that you're trying to be more eco friendly I only buy 100 percent cotton or denim now because everytime we wash synthetic materials it goes into the sea as micro plastics, imagine billions of synthetic strands going in the sea everyday. 🌊. By the way I don't think you need to wear brand new clothes you haven't got make up on and still look beautiful it's a good test to see if the man in your life truly loves you. Wear the skankiest clothes ever if he leaves he's shallow 😆 🤣

hi maybe it can help you, I dyed a Calvin Klein sweatshirt last night and I have to do it 2 times because the sweat had some bleach spots. I didn't use the washing machine system so I let the garment in a bucket, I was so tired that i didn't wash it till today. The label in the calvin klein garments are big and it is still white (but just for security i used a little of paraffin from a candle to protect it, you paint the label but i think with the hot water it was removed so I don't know).
Hope it works for you, sweatshirt is looking like new, very happy.
