Installed a performance cotton gauze air filter to the Coleman cc100x minibike.
Did it for about $13. Did a road test to see if the filter added any performance to the bike.

HELP! I put after market air filter with adapter on sons bike, now it runs like crap, the factory box works good though, what did I do wrong??????

Ya, the only mods done to the bike are the ones in the video. Air filter and exhaust. And governor removal.
The bike before all the mods did less than 20 mph. I'm not sure what the filter alone would do because I added the air filter before the governor removal. The governor was holding it back

Hi Black66, A while ago A put a Air filter on my sisters Ct200u-Ex bike (Stock Carb) But it cuts out bad when you give it gas. Any solutions? Thanks.

@@ezekiel8915 If it's an EPA carb you can use an easy out to get the main jet out.

Hi buddy, question there is a hose that goes to the gas tank to the filter housing where do I hang that? Thanks
You can leave it where it is or take it off. It vents the tank. You can also keep a small amount of hose on there and add a small filter to it. All these will work.

So I know some small motors require a certain amount of back pressure to run best or sometimes at all(some 2 strokes) my question is since we're adding an air filter and letting it breath easier, should we at minimum bore out a part of the exhaust to let it exhale at a somewhat comparable rate?

Is the carb the same size as the 196cc Coleman’s? Asking cause I want to get a intake for my cc100x. Btw I just ordered the ct100u from Amazon lol so I’ll have to mod that one to when it get here. I wanted the black frame INE but for some reason that one won’t ship to California.
Oh sweet , the one you got is a nice bike. The carb is smaller than the one on the 196 Coleman .

The round things are just flat washers you can get at the hardware store. I used a 1-inch flat washer. The hole is one inch. I think you could use a 3/4 flat washer if you wanted to use a smaller air filter.

Ace hardware had them. Maybe even Lowes or Home depot

You don't have to. But it will run a little better if you re-jet it.

I used a 1-inch flat washer. The hole is one inch. I think you could use a 3/4 flat washer if you wanted to use a smaller air filter.

The adapter is made from washers. It's very simple to do and only cost a couple bucks. Check out the video. I show how to do it in there.

Hello, when I took off my air filter there was a line from the gas tank connected to it, when putting on the new air filter what I do with this line. Also how do I tighten the new air filter on
You can remove the vent line from the top of the tank. Or you can also add a small vent filter to that line. Use a hose clamp to tighten the new air filter to the washers on the carburetor.

With my mini bike ct200u this doesn’t make it any faster it just increases acceleration and makes it louder
