Clifford - I never forgot you; you gave me and my friend Steve Tuck a lift in your Scimitar (at least I'm sure it was a Scimitar - quite a car back then!) back to Mawley Oak when we were hitching a lift home to Cleobury from a days fruit-picking at Great Witley. (I was about 14/15 years old, so might have been 1974/75?) I will never forget your kindness, and I remain honoured that our paths crossed for those few brief minutes. Thank you for the legacy of your beautiful songs which have stayed with me since that sunny day when you stopped for a couple of teenagers hitching a lift.
